Meeting of Board of Management Pakisan Scouts Cadet CollegeBatrasi on 10th January , 2012 at NHQ, PBSAThe Meeting of Board of Management of Pakistan Scouts Cadet

College Batrasi was held at National Headquarters, PBSA on 10

January, 2012. Mr. Justice Agha Rafiq Ahmed Khan, Chief

Commissioner, PBSA / Chairman BOM, PSCC Batrasi chaired the

meeting. Mr. Ghulam Ali Shah Pasha, Sr. Dy. Chief Commissioner,

PBSA, Mr. Haji Abdul Kareem Khyazai, Dy. Chief CommissionerPBSA, Mr. Abuzar Mansoor Acting Secretary, PBSA also attended

the meeting. Mr. Majid Bashir National Commissioner Legal Affairs

& Mr. Mohammad Yousuf Memon attended the meeting as co-opted

members. Several Committees were formed for internal audit and

framing of BOM rules and regulations.

Selection of Best Shaheen, Boy and Rover Scout for the Year-2011 from 11 13 January 2012 at NHQ, PBSA.National Headquarters, PBSA holds 3 days Selection Camp to

select the Best Shaheen, Boy and Rover Scout every year. The

selection is made amongst the best scouts, selected at Provincial

levels for Presidential Gold Medal. The Camp was organized at

National Headquarters, PBSA, Islamabad from 11-13 January, 2012.

Selection team was consisted of the following:

Cdr (Retd) Aftab A. Qureshi, - Chairman

Mr. Khalid Mahmood - Member

Mr. Zahid Mahboob - Member

Selection was made on the criteria of National Youth Program Policy

& System of PBSA. Results will be announced shortly.

National Training & Programme Sub Committee Meeting 9 10January 2012 at NHQ, PBSA.National Training & program Sub Committee meeting was held at

National Headquarters PBSA, Islamabad from 9 10 January, 2012.

Appointment of ProvincialSecretary & Assistant ProvincialCommissioner Training &Program in Islamabad on 12January, 2012

Scouting in AIOU meeting withVice Chairman on 11 January,2012.

2nd Special Integration CampIndia Pakistan Preparations.

Cdr (Retd) Aftab A. Qureshi, National Commissioner Training &

Program Chaired the meeting. Members from Provincial

Associations attended the meeting. Mr. Abdul Mannan, member APR

Adults in Scouting Sub Committee also attended the meeting on

special invitation. National Training Policy & System was reviewed in

the light of National Adults in Scouting Policy of PBSA. Youth

Program Policy & System was also reviewed. Committee decided to

test the Modular System for Scout Leader Training at Karachi

(Sindh) and the Committee will discuss the Report & feed back of the

Training. Mr. Khalid Mahmood attended the meeting being Secretary

of the Committee.

Appointment of Provincial Secretary & Assistant Provincial

Commissioner Training & Program in Islamabad BSA.Syed Iqbal Shah, National Commissioner Coordination PBSA has

been appointed Provincial Secretary, Islamabad Boy Scouts

Association from 12 January 2012. Cdr (Retd) Aftab A. Qureshi,

National Commissioner Training & Program PBSA has also been

appointed Assistant Provincial Commissioner Training & Program

Islamabad Boy Scouts Association.

Scouting in AIOU meeting with Vice Chairman on 11 January,

2012.National Headquarters, PBSA is now closely working with Allama

Iqbal Open University to introduce Scouting in their Courses and

Trainings. First meeting was held with Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr.

Nazir Ahmed Sangi and his team from AIOU while National

Commissioner Training & Program Cdr (Retd) Aftab A. Qureshi and

National Commissioner Coordination, Syed Iqbal Hussain Shah

represented PBSA. Second meeting was held at AIOU Main Campus

on 11 January, 2012. Acting Secretary, Mr. Abuzar Mansoor

presented Scout Mission and discussed further development for

introducing Scouting in AIOU.

from 20 24 March, 2012 at National Headquarters, PBSA,

Islamabad. A meeting with Ms. Naveed Saeed Principal IMCG

Sector F-10/2, Islamabad was held to prepare a plan for educational

visit and other activities for the participants of the Camp. Cdr (Retd)

Aftab A. Qureshi, National Commissioner Training & Program and

Syed Iqbal Hussain Shah, National Commissioner Coordination / Dy.

International Commissioner, PBSA and Mr. Zahid Mahboob, Dy.

Director Training, PBSA, were present in the meeting.

Data Base and Automation Committee Meeting 16th January,2012 at NHQMeeting of Database and Automation Committee of PBSA was held

on 16 January, 2012 at National Headquarters, PBSA, Islamabad.

Mr. Mohammad Yousuf Memon, National Commissioner NHQ,

Chaired the meeting. Committee discussed following areas to be

worked out for automation:

- Accounts and Budget Management System

- Human Resources Management System

- Training & Program Management System

- File Archiving System

- International Events / Participation

Mr. Abuzar Mansoor, Muhammad Rafiq, Muhammad Irfan Tariq and

Mr. Faisal Iqbal attended the meeting.

Scouts from Swat (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) visited NationalHeadquarters, PBSA, Islamabad.Scouts from Matta Scouts Open Group and Swat Scouts Open

Group visited National Headquarters, PBSA from 8 9 January,

2012. They met with the members of National Training & Program

Sub-Committee during their stay at Scouts Global Village.

Educational visit at Islamabad was also arranged for the Scouts.
