Boys & Girls Softball
Our boys and girls softball teams went to Tamworth
today to play against Manilla.
A hard fought battle was had with both games.
Congratulations to the girls who have advanced to
the next round after defeating Manilla 21-5. The
boys played very well but lost their game 22-8.
All children displayed great sportsmanship and
represented their school with pride.
Years 4-6 went to the Science & Engineering Chal-
lenge in Tamworth . We all got arm bands to tell
you what groups you were in. For the making of the
bridge challenge, you could only use 4m of tape, 6
paddle pop sticks, 2 A3 pieces of paper and a small
piece of cardboard. There were 4 of us in my group
and we made the strongest bridge on the day.
We all had fun and learnt a lot doing the challenges.

I'd like to congratulate Mrs Cathie McMaster on
being appointed permanent principal of Gunnedah
Public School, and Mrs Sue O'Connor on her
retirement at the end of this term. Both have served
the Currabubula community and now move on to
the next chapter of their career. Congratulations!
Photography with Mrs Filby
In the lead up to the Currabubula Art Show Mrs Filby
has kindly offered to teach our students basic
photography technique in lessons on Tuesday the
3rd at 12 - 1:00pm and Monday the 9th of April,
from 12:45pm onwards. In the second session
students will be walking out of the school grounds to
take photographs. Please ensure you have returned
a general permission (local excursions note) so your
child is able to participate in this activity. Students
are welcome to bring their own camera to school to
take photographs, or use school iPads.
High School Expressions of Interest
Please return to the school as soon as possible,
indicating which High School year 6 students will be
attending in 2019.
Mini Maker Market Stall
Our students will be running a 'Mini Makers' stall at
the Currabubula Boutique Markets on the 6th of
May. Students are welcome to collect, make and sell
their own handicrafts to raise money for the school
P&C (and possibly some profit for themselves). If
you wish to discuss any ideas for our 'Mini Makers'
stall, please contact the school.
