Pumpkin, a large pony, arrived at CTREE over the summer and has quickly become a favorite in our program. Pumpkin is a res-cue pony and comes to us from Hali Devlin of Montauk. He looks just like an Exmoor Pony, an ancient pony breed in the United Kingdom. Stop by and say hello! He is loving all the at-tention from CTREE volunteers and riders!

Karen Bocksel Receives Hampton Classic 2015 Long Island Sportsmanship Award

On opening day of the Hampton Classic Horse Show, President Dennis Suskind, along with Executive Director Shanette Barth, presented the Long Island Sportsmanship Award to our Executive Director, Karen Bocksel. Since 2007 the award has been presented to a LI resident in honor of their years of dedication and service in horseman-ship. CTREE Board President, Becky Gaynor: “Karen’s name engraved on the trophy is with great company. We are all so proud of her and she was totally surprised which made the day even more fun!

The 2015 CTREE Horseless Horse Show

A fun afternoon of horseless com-petition at the July Sagaponack Horse Show. We raised lots of new CTREE friends and awareness for therapeutic riding and equine as-sisted activities.

An Incredible Fundraising Summer Season for CTREE...Pre-Sebonack Kickoff Party at Michelle Farmer Collaborative!Our Sebonack event got off to a great start on August 6th with an evening of champagne and shopping hosted by Michelle Farmer Collaborative, Bridgehampton. Many thanks to all who attended and to Michelle and Peter Farmer for donating a percentage of the evening’s sales to CTREE! CTREE’s Sebonack 2015 benefit broke all records! We had 150 guests that raised over $80,000 for CTREE horses and programs!!! A huge thank you to event chair Tami Maines and her incredible committee!!! 2nd Annual Giddy-Up 5K The second-annual 2015 Giddy-Up 5K was a great day – beautiful weather, 120 runners and walkers, 33 event sponsors all raising more than $15,000 for CTREE! Junior Volunteer Lauren named CTREE as a beneficiary for her bat mitzvah and raised over $4,000 for CTREE! Lauren volunteered 2 days a week all summer helping exercise Pumpkin and assisted with lessons. She also found time to qualify for Pony Finals at the Kentucky Horse Park!! WOW! A board member’s summer house guests left an incredible note

thanking them for a great weekend and a $500 donation for CTREE!! WOW! Karen’s niece Lexi, married Matt at her MooreHouse Farm this summer and donated $2,000 to CTREE!! WOW! Realtor Ted Kruckle held a lun-cheon for CTREE at the Hampton Classic Horse Show and raised nearly $600 for CTREE. WOW!
