Fast tracking initiative for classroom observations and validation of the same. Printing and distribution of SNE EGM textbooks. Payment of the Firm for supply of EGM pupil’s books for 2017 (2nd Batch). Procurement and distribution of Tablets to 4000 head teachers of SIP schools; and Training on the use of tablets for school management. EMIS User Programme Interface (UPI) development and testing. Procurement of ICT equipment and furniture for the PCU and county project teams. Launch Development process of the National Quality assurance framework and tools. Procurement of TA for M&E. Develop TORs for TAs for assessing quality of EGM training and evaluation of the SIP process; and launch procurement process. Procure communication individual TA to support project communication strategies and materials Documentary on the PRIEDE project and lessons learned to date. Collect data and compile a report on marginalized and vulnerable Groups in Primary Education  Exhibition of PRIEDE during KEPSHA national and County Forums. Continuous monitoring of the SIP implementation at the school level. Disbursement of SIP grants to the remaining 2643 SIP schools (based on audit clearance). Hold two exhibitions to publicize PRIEDE and have a forum for disclosure and grievance reporting during the national drama and games. Exhibitions at National KEPSHA and Music conferences to publicize PRIEDE and have a forum for disclosure and grievance reporting. Disclosure of disbursed funds to counties and schools on the MoE GPE website and an advert on the same. Compilation of the midterm Stakeholders and citizen engagement report. Hold counties and schools level dialogues on the quality of learning, and the learning crisis, based on the NASMLA, SACMEQ IV and the EGMA Baseline studies/reports. Key Highlights on Project Implementation (January-April 2017) Mid Term Review Mission (MTR) was conducted from 27 February to 10th March 2017, with ϐield visits in 5 counties. Aide Memoire uploaded at the MoE GPE Webpage. 334 QASOs Sensitized on EGM methodologies and PRIEDE project in February 2017. 8 Regional Coordinators, 47County Directors of Education and 47 County Project Coordinators (CPCs) were trained on Project Management, Financial Management and Monitoring and Evaluation at KSG- Embu in March 2017. 122 EGMA Master Trainers and 47 CPCS trained at National level in April 2017. 3642 CSOs, EGM champions and EARC ofϐicers trained at Regional Training level in April 2017. 5610 EGMA Classroom observations done in the months of January, February and March and uploaded on RTI-platform. 4,786,774 EGM textbooks distributed out of target 6,00,000 (Procurement ongoing for books for 2018 cohort). EGM textbooks adapted for learners with Special Needs. 91,645 teachers and head teachers trained in new EGM methodologies out of a target of 40,000. 4000 SIP Plans developed. KES 407,100,000 SIP grants disbursed to the ϐirst 1357 schools. National Assessment for measuring Learner Achievement (NASMLA) launched in January 2017. SACMEQ IV report was validated by the SACMEQ Coordinating Centre. The International Launch of the report will take place last week of May 2017. Exhibition of PRIEDE Project during National Drama Festivals and KEPSHA Lake Region Conference was held in April 2017.
