A message from Dr BertramThis will be our final newsletter for 2015, so the pages are filled with information in preparation for the start of 2016. Next week, we will be emailing out our last edition of the Snapshots – look out for your copy in your inbox on Tuesday.I would like to take this opportunity to farewell a number of our staff and thank them for their contribution to the lives of our students over many years. Mr Ian Nicholls has been with us for 14 years, and as of next year, will be enjoying full-time retirement. Mr Ben Thomas has been a casual teacher with us for a number of years. In 2015, Ben filled a part-time position teaching in the secondary department. Next year, he will be working full-time at Norwest Christian College teaching PDHPE and Biology. Miss Val O’Regan has just announced she will be taking up a new position as the personal assistant to the Senior Minister at Oak Flats Anglican Church. Mr Greg Williams has been working with our Learning Support team for a number of years, and in 2016 will be returning to casual teaching with us. I would also like to thank our wonderful casual staff, who help us daily by covering absent staff or by taking on specially funded projects.On a personal note, I would like to thank you for your support, encouragement and prayers throughout the year. It has been a great joy and privilege to be the principal of the Tongarra campus this year, and I look forward to continuing our work together in 2016.May you have blessed Christmas and a wonderful holiday.

Dedication Service 2016

Our Dedication Service will be held in our Tongarra school hall next year.Families are invited to attend the service with your children, as we dedicate the 2016 school year to God.A light morning tea will be available after the service. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Prep-Year 4 Learning Centre Launch Tuesday, 2nd February 2016 at 2.30pm

Please join us in the Studio to meet the team of staff members and support staff working with P-4 children in 2016, discuss the vision for P-4 learning and enjoy afternoon tea.

Pray for those of our Parent community who have spent so many hours volunteering this year. Give thanks for their willing and caring service.

Pray for a wonderful time of rest & relaxation over the school holidays. Pray that we might all enjoy the time with our families during Christmas and that this might be an opportunity to share the message of Jesus with others.

Give thanks for God’s provision & guidance throughout 2015 and pray that we will continue to look to Him for direction in the New Year.

Pancakes @ 1st BreakTuesday, 15th December

As a way of celebrating the end of the school year, on Tuesday, 15th December, a pancake stall will be held at first break in the usual canteen area. This is a Student Council initiative to recognise the achievements of 2015 and to look towards 2016.Pancakes will be free of charge, however, additional toppings will be available for $1. Please see the note that went home this week for more details.
