Relay For Life

Mrs. Ishi Khosla, Clinical Nutritionist conducted a Workshop on “Mindful Eating” on 14 November, 2017 at the Indian Cancer Society Office.

Relay for Life was held on 6 November, 2017 at Delhi Public School, Sector 45, Gurgaon. The whole activity was mainly to create Cervical Cancer Awareness as November is ob-served as the Cervical cancer month.

Events Attended Mrs. Renuka Prasad & Priya Parmar attended 3rd Edition of Health care Conclave organised by Mail Today on 14 Novem-ber, 2017.

Our vol un teers attended the First Oncology Conference on the theme Cancer Today : Roadmap for tomorrow on 18 & 19 Nov, 2017 at India Habitat Centre.

Emotional Support: Emotional support was given to 43 at Fortis Gurgaon, 42 at Batra, 25 at IRCH, 40 at AIIMS, 23 at BL Kapur, 76 at Medanta, 30 at Artemis, 60 at RGCI, 100 at R&R and 28 at Delhi State Cancer Institute.

Medical assistance was given to 15 patients and 2 new patients were adopted.

Screening Camps: Camps were held at Noida, Gurgaon, Gole Mar-ket, Golf Club, Jaunapur, Garhi, Tri Nagar, and Rajokri Village. At these camps 816 people were screened (161 men & 537 women, mammog-raphy). These camps were sup-ported by UTI, Exide, Apollo, and Vaish Associate Public Welfare Trust.

At the CDC 221 people were screened ( 61 men & 160 women), 140 follow ups.

Free screening for women in the month of November. Free Pap Test

Awareness:

Sneh Kapur delivered a talk at Save the children, Sarai Kale khan on Breast & Cervical Cancer on 22 Nov, 2017. Another talk at Khiz-rabad on 27 Nov 2107.

Mrs. Renuka Prasad visited Army Cantt. at Bhuj in Gujarat and Ramgarh (Ranchi) in Jharkhand. At the AWWA meetings (wives of ORS, JCOs and officers) she addressed on Breast & Cervical Cancer. Ongoing Programs

Training for New Volunteers Children’s Day at Prashanti on 14 Nov, 2017.

Our Chairperson, Kewal Nohria’s visit to Indian Cancer Society Delhi Office.

Indian Cancer Society along with Medanta Hospital is holding another De-stress program of fun, games, music, dance, makeover, yoga and laughter therapy for Cancer Survivors and Caregivers on 13 Dec 2017 at Medanta.

Mrs. Sunita Gupta & Rekha Gulabani represented Indian Cancer Society at the Cancer Awareness Information Conference held at the Hungarian Information & Cultural Centre (Embassy of Hungary) on 29 November, 2017.
