Thank you We would like to extend a big thank you to all the people who spent time during the school break working to have the school buildings ready for the new year. • Teachers David and Craig, U Steven and most of the maintenance staff, have had virtually no

break as they have been busy working to have the new secondary school ready for us. • Teacher Ko Thet has also worked tirelessly despite all the frustrations of trying to get IT

equipment and internet services ready. • Once again the Myanmar teachers have packed and unpacked all of the school’s resources as

we have moved campus.

Student Diaries Each student has a new Student Diary. The diary includes a calendar which shows holidays and special events. Please use this information when planning your own holidays. There is also a plan to show the topics being taught in that year level throughout the year.

• Please do not arrive more than 30 minutes before starting time. • Please make every effort to be at school on time to drop off and to pick up. The teachers

keep a record of students who are late and this will be shown on the school report. • Parents should leave the grounds once classes have begun. If you wish to speak to a

teacher, please make an appointment for after school.

Parent Teacher Interviews Parents of all students, except Nursery, will be asked to meet with their children’s teachers later this term. This is not a reporting session, but a time to share information and make plans to maximise the learning at Network. Foundation and Primary to Year 4 will have their interviews on 3rd September. Upper Primary and Secondary will have interviews on 10th September. There will be no classes for these students on these days, however students are expected to come to the interviews with their parents. Further information and appointment times will be sent home later.

Teacher Melassa teaches Bees class and is supported by Teachers Nora, May and

Ah Sut. Melassa is from London in the UK and taught there for twelve years.

She is excited about the year ahead at Network.

Teacher Pippa teaches Dragonflies class and is supported by Teachers Seng Lung and

Tin Ko. Pippa comes from the UK and has recently been working in two schools in

Vietnam. She also has two dogs and has a passion for dance.

Teacher Sarah teaches Ladybirds class and is supported by Teachers Eh Phaw, Darli and Ka Saw. Sarah is from Australia and has been working in Malaysia for eighteen months. Sarah enjoys singing and is looking forward to the year ahead at Network and life in Myanmar.

Teacher Janet is Head teacher for Foundation Stage and will also be class teacher for

Butterflies class. She will be supported by T. Lal Lal, T. Hnin Hlaing, T.Amy and

T. Paw Paw. Janet is a very experienced teacher from the UK and has also worked

in schools in Nepal, Sri Lanka and South Africa. She is very much looking forward

to the coming year.

Library

Teacher Hnin Pwint Htoo is the new Librarian

and has been busy organising the library to make

it a stimulating place for children to learn. Please

share and enjoy the books with your children and

teach them to take good care of the books. Lost

or damaged books will be charged for.
