Nida-Core Corp announces the installation of abrand new scoring machine that will enhancethe userfriendliness of it’s H8PP scored product.

The precision of the new equipment allows thecore to be scored all the way to the barrier-film, scrimcloth. The drapability of the newscored material is second to none in bothdirections and will make Nida-CoreHoneycombs and our RIGID-ELASTICTECHNOLOGY suitable for more areaswithin a composites structure, than previouslyafforded.

Unique to Nida-Core Corp is the availability toprovide scored material in sizes up to 48X96,without risk of damaging the scored sheets(unlike foams). Nida-Bond is a specially formulated, polyesterbased core bedding compound developed byNida-Core Corporation for hand lay-up andvacuum bagging core installation. Use ofpremium resins results in high tensile andflexural strength. Its high adhesive strengthprovides an excellent bond between the core andthe laminate. Its is suitable for most coringapplications and is compatible with ourFoamline, BalsaLite and Nida-Core, TecnoCore,PVC and SAN foam core materials.

Characteristics include :lightweight, non-sagging,and long working time for coverage of largeareas.

Tim Johnson joins Nida-Core as BusinessDevelopment Manager. Tim will be responsiblefor Automotive, Transportation, and Wind Powerapplication development,as well as productdevelopment of Structural Core Materials forClosed Molding processes.

Previously as VP of Business Development forZoltek Carbon Fibers,Tim has been responsiblefor automated production development of carbonfiber composite structural components forautomotive applications,which includeddemonstration of multi-axial products suited fordeep-draw pre-forming and high pressuremolding, as well as product development forwind-blades and civil engineering applications.

As Director of Technology for BrunswickTechnologies during a five year period of annualgrowth exceeding 30%,Tim was responsible forprocess technology development of multi-axialmachines for super-weight non-crimpreinforcement fabrics,as well as productdevelopment and client engineering support.

In other positions,Tim has also worked in PlantProcess Engineering, Textile Machine Design,andMaterials Research and Development. He has aBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineeringand Applied Mechanics from the University ofPennsylvania.

Tim presently resides in Clayton,Missouri withhis wife Pat and two kids.

Nida-Core Corp has aquired a Motionmaster 3-axis router to complement our existingnumerically controlled routers. The new routerwill speed up the production of our custom-cutcore kits . A brand new labelling system forindividual cut kit pieces is in the works thatwill fur ther enhance the customers ability tohandle the kits.
