    This week students have been working on

    writing letters to various places of business and

    to their future 7th grade teachers. They are

    learning a skill that has started to become loss

    over time due to the invention on email and text

    messaging.

    SOCIAL STUDIES WITHMS. TEXTOR

    Students have been learning all about economy and economics. This week the clas

    have learned what economics really is, howdirectly relates to our purchases with supp

    demand and price and also how competit

    plays a large role in our economy. They even

    some help from you when discussing

    importance of banking! Over the weekend a

    next week, the class will be discussing

    different economic status in Greece, La

    America (all areas) and the United Stat

    Students will be comparing the differ

    economies and what is currently happening

    those countries. Be sure to ask them about

    economy as they research the different types!

    OWENS Math MinuteMr.Owens likes chocolatealmost as muchas helikes math.

    All three rotations are working anddata and probability for the rest of the

    year. Students will continue to have

    homework through the week of the

    4th. Books will be collected on June7th or June 8th depending on the

    rotation.

    If your student has a book which waschecked out to keep at home, it mustbe turned in no later than June 6th.

    Please remind your students that this

    is still a time of academic pursuit and

    it will be up to and including June 8th

    in their math classes. The final threedays of school will be spent on 7th

    grade prep.

    SCIENCE WITH MRS. LEE

    Scientists will wrap up theirjourney of Earth and Space Science

    with several labs and a final test.

    After the unit is complete, students

    will journey back to where they

    stared to study the Scientific

    Method in preparation for their

    upcoming 7th grade Science class.

    Bridge Books

    Summer bridge books are available in the

    front office. These books are reduced in

    price and perfect for keeping your student

    busy over the summer months as well as

    get them ready for the fall.

    We are currently awaiting the arrival ofour poetry books from American

    Treasures and would prefer them to be

    in for our Public Speaking Day.We apologize for the inconvenience but

    will keep you posted on the new date.
