RAF 100 Years Celebration

Year 10 students James Bailey and Daniel Hubbard enjoyed a great day

in London representing their Squadron, 155 Maidenhead Squadron, at

the RAF's centenary celebrations parade in the Mall. It was a great

opportunity to see the Red Arrows and a 100 aircraft fly past. They also

had the opportunity to view various aircraft on display at the Royal

Horse guards, and took part in fund raising with other Cadets from their

Squadron for RAF charities.

It was an historic event to remember what an

important part of history the RAF has been and

will continue to be in future. Students and staff

at Cox Green school were also able to watch

some of the flyover from the school playing

field, and the Red Arrows displaying their

coloured smoke in respect for the part White

Waltham airfield played in the second World

War.

Twin towns

3 of our students are going to the twin

towns competition in Italy.

continued success in the future.

Biology Challenge Awards

Sixty students from Year 8, 9 and 10 were selected to enter the Junior Biology Olympiad. These students

had to sit two 25 minute papers after school during the week, in a competition against other students in

the country. James Meyrick received a Gold Award, Georgina Bradfield and Alex Taylor received Silver

Awards, and 11 students received Bronze Awards (Ellie Thompson, Simone Mizova, Jessica Richard,

Lewis Mcadoo, Eleftheria-Zacharenia Vettou, Oliver Shiel, Sofia White, Kathryn Birrell, Lucy Langdale,

James Milburn, Hayden Netherwood-Meek), 10 students received Highly Commended Awards and 19

Parents and students are encouraged to plan their top-ups and spending so that their accounts are at a

minimum by the time they leave the school. This will help in reducing administration in both the school

office and at Innovate Services’ Business Support Centre.

Balances less than £5.00 will not be refunded.

If you have a refund to claim when your child has left the school please can Parents/guardians email

sQuid directly ([email protected]) to claim refunds.

their course assessment. For the first session Ms Ismail bought a selection of International foods for the

students to taste and analyse and to socialise , for the 2nd Taster Session, students prepared
