Baltek Corp.’s TestResults DisputedJune 06, 2003

It has come to our attention that Baltek Corp. ofNew Jersey has been circulating test resultsperformed by its own in house laboratory indicatingthat Nida-Core Corp.’s hugely successful Balsalitebrand is inferior to their offerings in certain tests.

We can only assume these deceptive practices areused due to rapidly losing market share and ourcontinued ability to offer a similar quality product ata substantial discount.

We are proud to acknowledge that after a year on themarket our Balsalite End Grain Balsa has been ahuge success, offering premium packaging to ourcustomers to limit moisture absorption as well asseparating coated balsa sheets by thin plastic to avoidsticking. Needless to say we were concerned aboutthe negative test results and to ensure our customersreceive only the best quality product from Nida-CoreCorp., we duly hired respected independentlaboratory Structural Composites, of Melbourne,Florida to perform INDEPENDENT tests on ourBalsalite product. Full 8 page test report is availablefor anyone interested by e-mailing jlugus@nida-core.com, but in short summary Balsalite from Nida-Core Corp., performed almost identically tocompeting brands, as expected, in all tests it wassubjected to.

NIDA CORE FCFLEXIBLE THERMOFUSED HONEYCOMB

Nida-Core FC (for Flexible Core) is a flexible extraresilient continuous honeycomb product, able to beconfigured and engineered to suit the end user’srequirements.

Nida-Core FC can be made from virtually anythermoplastic material – from polypropylene,polyethylene, polycarbonate to many others innonwoven or film form.

The FC is manufactured, using a patented 3Dstacking system by means of thermal bonding, up to100mm thick and up to 1250 mm in width, and aslong as necessary.

Thermal bonding means there are no glues or otheradditives in the process, making the product 100%recyclable and environmentally friendly.

Applications.

In general, applications for this product fall into atleast one or more of the following areas: structural,separation, fluid transport and energy absorption.

It is possible for an application to require or use all of these functional areas while some may require onlyone. Since the nature of the nonwoven is drasticallyaltered, i.e., it is in a third dimension, its intellectualproperty potential is also drastically altered as well,and many new defensible areas become availablefrom the same starting material.

“I just wanted to stay in touch with you andshow you how we have used your core materialin our race car. Attached are a couple ofphotos. The first one shows the seat back andcockpit floor. The second shows the cockpitf loor and seat back bonded into the framesection. The last picture shows the frontportion of the frame with all the Nida-core andcarbon fiber bonded in,and just painted. All in all we have had excellent results with yourcore material and the ease of bonding carbonfiber to it. The panels have increased ourtorsional rigidity by approx 85-90% over thebare spaceframe and only added 13lbs to theweight of the car.
