Tesco Expands Sustainable Supply Chain Hub

Tesco says its sustainable supply chain initiative, Knowledge Hub, has added its

1,500th member: Müller Wiseman Dairies, Britain’s biggest fresh milk firm.

Additionally, Tesco’s Producer Network, a similar initiative for agricultural

producers and suppliers, has expanded to 828 members and is now open to all 700

Tesco dairy farmers. It will be extended to other farming sectors over the summer,

the retailer says.

Key to supply chain management

These changing patterns of world trade have a significant influence on the supply

chain, which is inextricably linked to indirect taxes. Most people, even in mature

economies, believe indirect tax is a pass-through tax, but it is not. This is more

so in India, where there is a significant amount of leakage, and when managed

improperly can lead to loss.

Through the looking glass: What successful businesses find in

India

The Indian market demands a strategy that addresses its diverse consumer groups

and counters business risk with a tailored operating model. In this report, several

US-headquartered businesses and entrepreneurial Indian companies share their

experiences about what it takes to successfully enter or expand in the Indian market.

Peering through the looking glass at India, these companies are shifting their

perceptions, challenging conventional thinking, and decoding complex patterns in

order to succeed.

Seven signs your supply chain needs a redesign A supply chain redesign is the type of project that often gets deferred, especially

when budgets are tight. Redesigns are complex and time-consuming, and many

organizations lack the needed skills and experience. Moreover, a thorough analysis

may be expensive, which can be hard to justify in the current economic climate.

TEAM OPEP – IIM Raipur - Welcomes the

new batch to IIM RAIPUR and wishes them all

the very best in all their endeavors
