Interim Chief Financial Officer (NHH Admin. Office)
June Stowe
BIO June is married and has lived in Alexandria for the past 37 years. She is coming out of retirement to temporarily act as Controller at New Hope Housing. She and her husband have raised two daughters—one who now lives in San Diego and the other one in Luxembourg. The en-tire Stowe family has done volunteer work for New Hope Housing at one time or another! June began work as an accountant in 1986 at the CPA
firm of Schreiner, Legge, and Company. For the next 30
years, she has honed her accounting skills in the non-
profit sector as a CPA, a Chief Financial Officer and as a
volunteer on a number of non-profit boards. June has
an undergraduate degree in English and a master’s
degree in Library Science.
For six years while her children were young, she was the
director of a pre-school where she also taught 2 year
olds. She maintains a great love for pre-school aged chil-
dren, especially since she has a 4 year old grandson!
Interesting and Fun Facts About June:
1. I am a former employee of New Hope Housing and when I previously worked for New Hope Housing, my first job assignment was to build my own office. That was in 1992.
2. While I was Vice President at Wesley Theological Seminary, I brought students from the seminary to
New Hope Housing for a two week immersion into the work of New Hope Housing, Rising Hope, and other agencies along Route One.
3. I love to travel and have had some amazing adventures.
