CHEMPAX MOBILEDatacor is in the process of developing a new series of mobile apps which will run directly on Apple IOS and Android mobile devices.

Our first mobile app offering is a truck delivery app for the iPad mini which went live on May 1, 2017. Features available with this app include: Delivery Routing / Confirmation; Signature Capture; Inventory Recording; and Automated Invoicing / Email to Customers.

During Interaxions 2017 there were several new features and enhancements introduced. A major development is the new Chempax Mobile app that launched May 1, 2017. In addition, the ChempaxVB.NET interface continues to evolve and grow with new functionality. These new enhancements enable companies to be more efficient, productive and gain better insight into their business.

List of the day’s deliveries in stop order for a given route.

Products and quantities on each selected order set to be delivered or picked-up.

Below is a visual representation of how the information flows utilizing the Chempax Mobile App. INFORMATION FLOW

Orders are assigned to delivery routes, usually via OE20 – Truck Run Entry.

Daily Orders are transferred to Mobile devices using eChempax.

Delivered counts are sent back via eChempax.

Drivers update delivered quantities and capture signatures.

Invoices are generated automatically & emailed to the customer.

MOBILE APP FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS

CHEMPAXVB.NET The ChempaxVB.NET interface continues to grow as we add new functionality.

There are some powerful new features in the reporting functionality of ChempaxVB.NET. The ability to import report definitions and use custom crystal reports are a couple of the highlighted features. A future dedicated Datacor Newsbreak edition will further expand on the reporting capabilities in ChempaxVB.NET.

REPORTING

The Import Definition new features allows users to migrate legacy Report Definitions to the new ChempaxVB.NET format. Mark one or more definitions for export to automate the process of creating equivalent entries in ChempaxVB.NET.

IMPORT DEFINITION

All standard Chempax reports available through VB.NET have an option to view the output in Crystal Reports. An Alternate Crystal Report can be specified which will be run in place of the default Crystal Report. This can be saved as part of the report definition.

CRYSTAL REPORTS

The following popular reports have now been converted to ChempaxVB.NET:

• Order Status (OE 11)

• Aged Trial Balance (AR 14)

• Sales Journal (IN 12)

• Sales Agent Profit (IN 15)

• Material Requirements Planning (IC 19)

With this option set, the primary Search Controls will retain their criteria after selection an item from the list. This allows for faster subsequent searches of related data. Also, the new navigation buttons within the search control allow you to iterate through a given set of results.

KEEP SEARCH CRITERIA VISIBLE

Based on user feedback, we have added several new features this year to enhance the functionality of the search control within ChempaxVB.NET.

SEARCH CONTROL

Building upon the system wide setting, you can now enable (or disable) the “Delay Search Until Enter” setting for individual search controls. This is useful for particular search controls that do not respond quickly enough to the standard behavior of continuously searching with each keystroke.

The entire Resource Planning module is being revamped in ChempaxVB.NET. The following features are available upon request. If you’re interested, please contact your support representative. A future dedicated Datacor Newsbreak edition will further expand on the Resource Planning module in ChempaxVB.NET.

RESOURCE PLANNING

A new program that defines weekly days of operation for each replenishment transaction such as manufacturing and purchasing.

OPERATIONS SCHEDULE (RP 16)

A new program to automatically create or update MRP data for each Product/Warehouse records based on historical transactions. This eliminates the need to set up MRP for every product in every warehouse. Chempax does the work for you.

CONVERTED PROGRAMS

The Inventory Transfer (IC 2) program has been converted to the ChempaxVB.NET interface and is available for use.INVENTORY CONTROL – INVENTORY TRANSFER (IC 2)

Supplier rebates can still be updated for one C/P at a time in FM 2, but this new interface allows for the import of Supplier Rebates from Excel.

The concept of project tracking in the General Ledger has been greatly expanded in ChempaxVB.NET to allow for user customizable description and stage parameters.

GENERAL LEDGER

• GL Project Maintenance (GL 20): A new feature that replaces the prior custom form interface for entry of GL Projects. Includes additional fields for the tracking of projects, and the ability to view a consolidated list of transactions related to a project. A tab for projects has been made available in the Enterprise Portal.

• GL Project Control (GL 24): A new program that defines parameters to help with project tracking in GL 20.

• Program Print (GL 25): A new program that generates a project sheet.

• Project Status (GL 26): A new program that provides a detailed list of projects, including an option to view transactions related to the projects.
