If you have never been on the New-

comers/Longtimers home tour, if you

have not attended in several years or

if you attend every year... you will

definitely not want to miss this year's

truly unique and memorable home

tour. What makes this tour unique?

There will be homes on the tour that

have never before and will never

again be seen by the public. The

homeowner said no to other fund

raisers, no to no to lake magazines

but yes to N/L.

For just one day only, on Saturday,

May 20 from 10:00am – 4:00pm, gra-

cious homeowners of the lakes most

palatial homes are opening their

doors for the Newcomers/Longtimers

annual home tour.

Tickets are just $20 (which is only $4

per house and less than an order at

Starbucks) and are available at:

Bank Star One (HyVee and HH)

Bella Donna Salon

Central Bank (all eight lake

locations)

First National Bank

(all 5 locations)

Lake Regional Fund Development

Office

Saffees

Stonecrest Book & Toy

Woodrow’s Convenience Store

Woods (all lake locations and El-

don)

home tour, pictures, a list of spon-

sors, the benefiting charities and

This stately country

manor is located on a

phenomenal secluded

point lot which has a

feel of being on a

small rural island, al-

lowing for multiple

outdoor living spaces

to enjoy the natural

beauty of the land.

Getting to Know You!

Page 4 News & V iews May 2017

To all my friends at

Newcomers/Longtimers, I would

like to THANK YOU for honoring

me with the privilege of being

your trusted servant this year.

What a fun filled and QUICK year

this has been for me!

I was very nervous as I took the

position of President, but you

know what? The board really

does do all the work and I want

to THANK THEM for their time,

patience and commitment. You

have made my year as President,

I feel, a successful one. This has

been honestly a very rewarding

and eye opening year for me. All

the unselfish people who have

volunteered to plan fun activi-

ties and those who participated

in making all of those activities

a success … THANK YOU.

My last farewell to you will be

the HOME TOUR on May 20th.

PLEASE find a way to help this

wonderful cause by either do-

nating money or your time or just

buy a ticket. All the money will

go to benefit: Citizens Against

Domestic Violence, Kids' Harbor

and 2 Nursing scholarships at

Columbia College.

I wish you all a very happy, excit-

ing and safe summer and I look

forward to seeing you all in the

fall!

Vickie Thanks You!

Last Luncheon of the Season—May 18th

Inside Story Headline

I can't believe it's already

time for our last luncheon of

the season May 18th at

Camden at the Lake. Cost is

$20. Reservations must be

made by May 14th and can

be made via Evite or by call-

ing Becky Johnson at 573-

453-0286. Mary Andeline

will be bringing out the art-

ist in all of us as we paint

wine glasses. The glasses

will be provided so you

don't need to bring your

own. Remember, you can

always say your grandchild

painted it for you! We will

also have the installation of

our new officers. We will be

served tossed green salad,

chicken Parmesan served

with marinara and provolo-

ne cheese, hearty marinara

sauce with cavatappi pasta,

Italian style green beans

with red onion and Parme-

san, and chef's dessert. Our

charity is Buddy Packs. If

you like, you can bring non-

perishable foods that don't

require cooking for these.

However, money donations

are best as the schools can

buy food in bulk. My thanks

to everyone who made the

April luncheon and style

show so special! Hopefully

the weather will cooperate

more for the May luncheon,

and especially for the Home

Tour!
