Roger left Chandler Horizon Rotary in 2015 when he retired from Sir Speedy, and he and Nancy moved to their cabin in Pinetop. He joined White Mountain, soon became secretary and, in not too long a period of time, became president of that club. In turn, Tiffany gave Theresa a plaque commemorating her year of service and also her Past President’s pin and badge. Pres. Tiffany gave us a basic outline of her plans for the new Rotary year. She hopes to be able to create a greater focus on veterans. She also would like for us to sponsor at least two veterans who are hospitalized at Christmas time with no family. She also wants to participate in Reach Across America. Getting our Interact Club up and running at Chandler High School is a priority. She hopes we can participate with our Interactors in the Red Sand program, which has emphasis on teenage trafficking. The average age of a girl being used for trafficking is 12. She hopes we can continue to participate in the Food Bank program quarterly, and not just by the few who have participated in the past, but involving more club members as well. Pres. Tiffany urged all of us to sign up for Hole-in-One committees and to begin to seek sponsors immediately, if not sooner.
