1 CREATIVE NAME FIELD TRAINING’S MONTHLY NEWSLETTER FOR FACULTY AND TRAINERS LCDC UPDATES The new Learning and Career Development Center (LCDC) launched on June 24 th ! As faculty, trainers and instructors, it is critical that you understand how the LCDC will affect our current processes. The LCDC is a web-based system that will manage sanctioning, class registration and roster close-out online. To support you during this transition, YMCA of the USA offered THREE webinars to familiarize you with the LCDC’s new administrative processes and to train you on specific tasks. Webinar 1 was the overview that can give you a basic understanding of the new system. Webinar 2 will teach Faculty and Trainers how to set up classes and Webinar 3 will show you how to manage and close class es. The Webinars are located on Exchange for viewing at https://yexchange.org/LeadershipDevelopmentApproach/Pages/Learning-and- Career-Development-Center-Overview.aspx License Uploads – Please note that the LCDC will constantly check for active licenses (CPR, First Aid, AED, O2). You will need to pay attention to the expiration dates in the system. If your license expires, it will inactivate your trainer certifications that have that licensing requirement. You c an upload your licenses using the “ My Records” tab o f LCDC. Also, remember that the upload does not instantly update the records. It must be viewed and verified by someone in the certification department. That will usually happen within 24 hours after the submission. Assistance – In addition to the webinars, there are other options for ongoing suppor t. At the top of your LCDC page, there is a “Help” link that will take you to informational documents. There is also a “Feedback & Support” link that will take you a page that will allow you to submit a specific question or comment. YMCA OF THE USA 101 N.
