TRANSCRIPT
The Year 2013 ended with one of the saddest moments of our times: the
passing away of the late great Tata Rolihlahla Nelson Mandela. The
former President of the Republic of South Africa. The former President of
the ANC. The founder of the new South Africa. We will never ever forget
this icon of our times the Good Lord gave to our nation and the rest of the
world. We still say “lala ngo xolo Madiba”. May your Soul Rest in Peace.
The Year 2014 promises to be a year of progress and excitement. Mainly
due to the fact that it is now 20 years since the 1st democratic elections in
1994. It will only be the 5th time in the History of our beloved nation that
Black, Indian and Coloured people in South Africa can cast their votes
alongside their white counterparts for a free and democratic government.
I can never influence who people should vote for, but I would like to ap-
peal to all our colleagues at both Venus Security Solutions and Venus Secured Logistics to wake up on
7 May 2014 to go and vote.
Nelson Mandela fought for Peace and Fairness. Nelson Mandela spent most of his life in jail so that all
the people of his beloved country can vote freely without fear or intimidation. Let us please not let
him down by not voting on Election Day. Your VOTE is your
POWER. Who you vote for is also your CHOICE.

HIV and AIDS
Human Immunodeficiency
Virus (HIV) is a lot like other
viruses, including those that
cause the "flu" or the com-
mon cold. But there is an im-
portant difference – over
time, your immune system can clear
most viruses out of your body. That isn't
the case with HIV – the human immune
system can't seem to get rid of it. Scien-
tists are still trying to figure out why.
Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome is
the final stage of HIV infection. People
at this stage of HIV disease have badly
damaged immune systems, which put
them at risk for opportunistic infections

HOW CAN I GET TESTED
There are many places where you can
be tested for HIV: a local clinic, at the
offices of a private doctor, a local
health department, hospitals, family
planning clinics and sites specifically
set up for HIV testing. Always ensure
that the testing place has counseling
provided. In some communities home-
based counseling and testing are availa-
ble and can include couples counseling
and support for safe post test disclosure

NORTH WEST OPERATIONS
Donald Chauke, one of Venus Security’s
latest developing managers, have start-ed the North-west branch in November
2013.
The Aim of this branch is to serve the regions between Gauteng and Limpo-
po. New Opportunities have opened up for Venus in North-West, and the com-
pany decided to have a local operator
in this Grid.
Majority of the business is spread over a 500km distance, making a daily visit
very difficult, but not for Chauke and his team of Supervisors..
Daily visits are conducted with Clinics, meetings with clients and most of all
the staff management.
Venus Management applaud the dedi-
cation from everyone within the North-west region.
