Photos of each recipient have recently been publicised on our Facebook page. Today we had the opportunity to experience a music percussion workshop with Josh, from The Rhythm Village. We hope to have him come back to do some more music therapy activities with the students and extra training for staff to incorporate music across all curriculum areas to enhance student learning even more...very entertaining workshop fun today for all. Principal’s Message

What a fantastic time we had during

on our school Facebook page. Thank

you to all involved in our Family Fun Day on the

Tuesday. Our organising committee led by Lenore and

her hard working team made the day extra special with

each student who

was there, receiving

a beautiful framed

photo as a

keepsake. Thanks

to all our parents,

carers and wider

school community members who came along to enjoy

the event, experience farm themed games and crafts,

spend time with the rangers from Australian Reptile

Park with their popular interactive reptile show. Thanks

also to the merry band of line dancers and to the terrific

Lambton HS rock band who all entertained us with

music and dancing. Special thanks to each class who

produced a variety of

handmade country

crafts and cooking

goodies for sale at our

fun day stall - all

proceeds have been

families in need - a great fundraising result, so thanks

you all for your support.

On the Tuesday night of Education Week, I had the

privilege to attend the annual Education Week Awards

Ceremony at Newcastle High School, as we are part of

the Newcastle Learning Community with other

mainstream schools from across Newcastle. On the

night five of our school community were presented with

her ongoing enthusiasm and commitment as backbone

of the Friends Charity Committee); Simone Gosper

SLSO who always goes above and beyond for our

students); Pratibha Harriram (our teaching award for

her instructional leadership around technology and

resources); Darcey Ahoy (Aboriginal Education award

Today we had the opportunity to experience a music

percussion workshop with Josh, from The Rhythm

Village. We hope to have him come back to do some

more music therapy activities with the students and

extra training for staff to incorporate music across all

curriculum areas to enhance student learning even

more...very entertaining workshop fun today for all.
