We were asked to re-design the identity of the graphic-design agency Henkel.Hiedl, in Berlin. The agency is located in Berlin and Freising. There will be a third studio based in Sapporo, Japan. The dot in the former logo was re-placed in front of the logo. At the same time the two names of the agency-owners (Henkel, Hiedl) were written with no space between, working metaphorically to signify the two different locations »working out-of-one-hand«.Considering the agency’s personal and conceptual approach towards their diverse clients assignments, we focused our further emphasis on the develop-pment of a »communicative –system«.The idea was to introduce / describe each element of their identity by using a modular »word-game« – using their identity in a playful and humorous way. Within the corporate system the dot functions as a sort of »multiple choice indicator«. On every medium one finds a selection of possiblities related to the subject matter, the dot communicating the nature of the content. So the word-combinations activated via the dot can be endlessly modified, similar to the designers everyday work of producing various possibilities and examples for their clients. Project is still in progress …

This work on the dressmaker Bert Nuhaan is a book consisting of seven folded A1 posters. These items come with something to fix paper together, in a plastic bag. The reader has the option whether to keep the posters the way they are, and read the content by unfolding them, or to make a book out of them him – or herself. Therefore the information parts are designed in a way that the A1 format can be cut and arranged to attain an A4 Bert Nuhaan Book.

Since 2010 magictouch collaborates with creatives based in Berlin, London and Zürich. To manifest this project a plattform is created together with two designers (BeateAlbrecht, Vanessa Feierabend). So far we have designed a beta-version portfolio-website, blog, portfolio and a set of business-cards.

Park is a »fexible pool of ideas« generated by specialists in the fields of graphic design, animation, illustration, information-architecture, public relations, text, according to the necessities of the job in hand. Park is an organic network of freelance creatives working both nationally and internationally. Due to its modular structure, Park can be deployed fast and effectively for different project concerns.

Medium / logo, letterhead, business cards, catalog, website, banner

We were asked to re-design the identity of the Graphic Design School in Anklam. It was important to us to communicate in a clear and honest way about »the way to become graphic designers«. We wanted to give a more transparent idea about the process of learning at school. Most students who apply for the design courses have a somewhat simplistic idea about what it meansto work as a professional graphic designer. So we came up with a concept which literally puts »the students« in the focus. The student is »used« in an info-graphic manner. The second element is the dot. The dot can be interpreted in various ways: beginning, start, goal, end, single station, standpoint (opinion) etc.
