Jesse Hamilton2016 Internship Program

Each intern will have the opportunity to work alongside a sta� er in their � eld of interest, and apply their interests in the projects they are assigned. Interns will also learn how about the New York City and New York State political system.

Desired Qualifi cati ons:

● Ability to write and communicate clearly with staff and consti tuents.

● Professional demeanor and ability to represent the offi ce and the Senator appropriately.

● Familiarity with city government is a plus, but not required.

● Profi ciency in writt en or spoken: Spanish, French or Chinese is a major plus, but not required.

During this internship, each intern will gain experience in a fast-paced, high-level offi ce environment and serve the State of New York. Interns in the Senator’s legislati ve offi ce will be exposed to policy-based research and analysis, communicati ons development, and media monitoring.
