Camp Sew Fun Learning to sew is great fun for all kids. We have a “Camp Sew Fun” every year. Every June, July, and August for three days each, we teach kids ages 8 to 18 how to sew. They always make fun projects that they are proud to use and show others. Be sure to sign up as soon as our classes are announced in May.

#6 Simple Boiled Wool Embroidered Jacket Part 1Taught By Wendy CopusThis is a wonderful jacket for winter or cool spring weather. We will make our own boiled wool or you can purchase it. There will be a simple jacket pattern to use and we will be embroidering it before sewing it together. We will be doing the embroidery with wool thread and a design that works great with it. There will be some prep to do before class so that you can start right out.

Claudia Dinnell is mak-ing this design pack available only to those that take this Block of the Month class. She has an excellent method for doing multi-hooping. Any machine that can use the mega hoop or the jumbo hoop can be used. The project should be complete just in time for the Fourth of July and will be fun to showcase for many summers to come. Each month we will do one embroidery block and one piecing block. Pick up your supplies and come be one of the first to make this quilt.



Embroidery can have a life and personality of it own. In these class-es you will learn about the different stabilizers, fabrics, threads, and much more. Did you know that “elaborately embroidered clothing, religious objects, and household items have been a mark of wealth and status in many cultures?” So to create these on your own is a sign of accomplishment. A Stabilizer Holder is the way to learn all about stabilizers and hold all your supplies so you are ready for any project that comes your way. Using the BERNINA Embroidery Software 7, this class will help you learn the process of scanning a picture, planning, digitizing it, and then stitching it. Each month in a type of “Block of the Month” club, you will use different techniques that can be put in a quilt, wall-hanging, table runner, quiet book, sampler book, or anything else you can imagine. You are the designer!
