formed loss surveying, assessing and loss adjusting firm in Bahrain is an Associated concern of Mumbai, India based Transocean Marine & General Survey Agencies.

With a rich collective experience of over 50 years in the field of Marine Cargo Surveying, Marine H & M Surveying, Fire (Property) & Engineering Surveying

and Assessing, the second generation of the company has expanded its roots

in the global market with first branch opening up in Bahrain.

As Survey Settling Agents and Claims Surveying Agents for some of the top most international insurance companies & Claims settling agents, we have

rich experience of not just handling wide variety of claims but also in

understating different terms and conditions that form part of the General

Insurance Policies that are underwritten across the Globe.

We are considered as pioneers in matters related to marine insurance claims

and we are not only called by lawyers but also by insurance companies to

testify as expert witnesses and our reports are generally used as expert

evidence in the courts of law.

also associated with Oasis Training Institute, Bahrain to impart training related

to marine Insurance & property insurance to its candidates.

History Of Transocean Marine & General Survey Agencies:-

Transocean Marine and General Survey Agencies, was started under proprietorship of Mr. A.M.Gawarikar, Ex-Indian Navy Artificer, and under

his able leadership it has expanded from Mumbai to more than 6 cities

across Gujarat and Maharashtra to Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad,

Gandhidham, Kandla and Mundra.

Mr. A.M.Gawarikar is an “A” category surveyor

recognized as trail- blazer Cargo, Property & Hull & Machinery

Insurance Surveyor. He is invited to National Insurance Academy, Pune and various training centers & by private & public sector insurance

companies to exchange his views on Cargo, Hull & Machinery Claims,

underwriting and project cargo Insurance management. He was asked

to write course book on the subject “cargo loss prevention” & this book is used as course book for associate ship examination of Insurance

Institute India, Marine Branch; he has written 2 other books on Cargo

and H&M for Insurance companies, used for their internal training

purposes.

It now caters to all its principals on Pan-India basis from its Navi

Mumbai Head Office.

limited liability company, whose Lead director & Principal surveyor a young Mr. Varun Gawarikar, a second generation marine & Fire

Mr. Varun Gawarikar joined Transocean Marine & General Survey Agencies in 2004 and he has also been visiting Mumbai port & JNPT

port during his class X & XII vacations as tally clerk and discharge

supervision surveyor / helper. As a second generation surveyor, he

intends to take the company global, with, first branch opening up in

Bahrain.

Distinction, course in Heavy Lift and safe stowage and securing of non-standardized cargo

as per IMO CSS code Annex 13 from IIMS & is

an Associate member of Royal Institute of Naval

Architects & Indian Institute of Naval Architects & Full Member of the International Institute of

Marine Surveyors & Level One Diploma Holder in

Marine Engineering surveying course from International Institute of

Marine Surveying, London – I.I.M.S (Lloyds recognized course). He

has an Associate in Marine Branch from Insurance Institute of India, with an all India level Subramaniam Award in Marine Insurance Claims

subject. He is also an Associate of the IIISLA (Indian Institute of

Insurance Surveyors and Loss Assessors).

He is a Visiting faculty on Marine Insurance related topics

with College of Insurance, I.I.I and National Insurance Academy, India;

also correcting answer papers for Insurance Institute of India.

He has an IRDA approved license since 2007 SLA No. 73095 to carry

out surveys in India & CBB approved license in Marine Cargo and Fire

Branches in Bahrain.

He has a Diploma in Industrial Electronics from SVCP

College, MSBTE, Pune and BE Mechanical Engineering from IBME

College, Delhi. He is currently pursuing his Associate Course in

Average Adjustment from Association of Average Adjusters U.K and

has already cleared paper A1 (Marine Insurance Act 1906) and

attempting for A2 Hull and Cargo Claims.

He is also pursuing his Chartered Engineering in Mechanical

Engineering from Institution of Engineers, Kolkata and has last 4

papers remaining.

Mr. Yogesh Phadnis: - Mr. Yogesh Phadnis, acting director too

joined the company as a Baroda – Gujarat

representative of Transocean Marine & G.S.A in 2004 and has varied and rich

experience inIndia, Kuwait and Oman

market working as a Marine & Property

Mr. Yogesh Phadnis , too , an IRDA Accredited Surveyor and Loss

Assessor has a license to carry out Marine Cargo and Fire surveys since

2007 (SLA 73112). He is an Associate of the IIISLA (Indian Institute of

Insurance Surveyors & Loss Assessors).

He has a Diploma in Civil Engineering from MS University, Baroda,

Gujarat and BE Mechanical Engineering from IIME College, India. He has

cleared Licentiate exams of the non life branch of III and is appearing for

Specialized Diploma in Marine Insurance.
