Delirium tre- mens Public Notices Bush Mountain opens on Main Street By Douglas Farmer Staff Writer PALMER — For Gary and Maeann Bush, and children, their business involves stitching to- gether this generation to the next. And then, they’ll put a frame around that connection. The couple, residents of North Brookfield, have been in business with thread, needle, wood, glass and other materials since 2002, out of locations in Pennsylvania, Ware and North Brook- field, and also with a substantial online clientele. They have now settled into a new space in downtown Palmer, and are enthusiastic about not only its proximity to the Massachusetts Turnpike – for ship- ping reasons – but the reception they have received so far from customers who have walked through their doors. Bush Mountain Stitchery & Framing is now open at 1438 Main St., Palmer and a grand opening will be held on Friday, Oct. 12, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 13, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. “This is not just going to be a store opening, this is going to be an event with a lot of nice door prizes,” Maeann said. “We’re going to have activities the whole family can take part in.” Gary, a member of the New England Picture Framers Association, agreed, adding that there will be family and friends coming from as far away as Ohio, Texas and Georgia to celebrate with them. He credited Maeann, who is skilled at both stitching and marketing, with establishing business contacts in various parts of the world. “This past summer, our son Jeff approached us about going into business after doing some work in radio and music out in California,” Gary said. “I have another son, Gary Jr., who is a proj- ect manager in China who will be helping out. This is very much a family business. Very quick- ly, we went from two people to five people.” In recent days the family has been busy un- packing material for displays, getting ready for the grand opening – everything from fabric and thread to gift candles. But in due time, they hope to offer classes in both stitching and framing. “For me, it’s all about passing knowledge on to the next generation,” Gary said. “It takes guts to open a business, but we offer everything from cross-stitching and needle art to cus- tomer picture framing. We have done very well with our internet business and have clients all across the coun- try and Europe. We ship out 20 to 30 packages a day. But we also focus on personal service for the customer.” For that reason, Bush Mountain can do any or all of a job, from the cutting backing the finished product. With the new space available to them, Gary said that they are stock- ing not only a wide array of thread, frames, beads (for creative diamond painting) and countless patterns to choose from, but also gift items like handmade dolls, soaps and niche can- dles. And Maeann said in keeping with their mission of imparting their knowl- edge to others, classes will begin next week. “We’re very happy with the recep- tion received so far,” Gary said. “A lot of people have come through the door excited to see us open, and we are excited to be here.” For more information about Bush Mountain Stitchery & Framing, call 413-289-6313. New shop woven into Palmer downtown The frame shop and stitchery features a wide array of thread. The Bush Mountain window display is prepared for this weekend’s grand opening. PALMER — For Gary and Maeann Bush, and children, their business involves stitching to-gether this generation to the next. And then, they’ll put a frame around that connection.

The couple, residents of North Brookfield, have been in business with thread, needle, wood, glass and other materials since 2002, out of locations in Pennsylvania, Ware and North Brook-field, and also with a substantial online clientele. They have now settled into a new space in downtown Palmer, and are enthusiastic about not only its proximity to the Massachusetts Turnpike – for ship-ping reasons – but the reception they have received so far from customers who have walked through their doors.

“We’re going to have activities the whole family can take part in.”

Gary, a member of the New England Picture Framers Association, agreed, adding that there

will be family and friends coming from as far away as Ohio, Texas and Georgia to celebrate with them. He credited Maeann, who is skilled at both stitching and marketing, with establishing business contacts in various parts of the world.

“This past summer, our son Jeff approached us about going into business after doing some work in radio and music out in California,” Gary said. “I have another son, Gary Jr., who is a proj-

ect manager in China who will be helping out. This is very much a family business. Very quick-

ly, we went from two people to five people.”In recent days the family has been busy un-

packing material for displays, getting ready for the grand opening – everything from fabric and thread to gift candles. But in due time, they hope to offer classes in both stitching and framing.

“For me, it’s all about passing knowledge on to the next generation,” Gary said. “It takes guts to open a business, but we offer everything from

cross-stitching and needle art to cus-tomer picture framing. We have done very well with our internet business and have clients all across the coun-try and Europe. We ship out 20 to 30 packages a day. But we also focus on personal service for the customer.”

For that reason, Bush Mountain can do any or all of a job, from the cutting backing the finished product.

With the new space available to them, Gary said that they are stock-ing not only a wide array of thread, frames, beads (for creative diamond painting) and countless patterns to choose from, but also gift items like handmade dolls, soaps and niche can-dles.

And Maeann said in keeping with their mission of imparting their knowl-edge to others, classes will begin next week.

“We’re very happy with the recep-tion received so far,” Gary said. “A lot of

people have come through the door excited to see us open, and we are excited to be here.”
