R. Alexander Fine Art represents the culmination of a vision to connectboth new and avid collectors with artists from around the world.

As art dealers since the early 1980s, the Harris family has been able to bring one of thelargest collections of artwork to the Southeast from a versatile range of

contemporary emerging to established American and International artists.

Based right outside of Atlanta, the gallery maintains a collection of artworkin full range of media including paintings, sculptures, works on paper, and

photography. The gallery’s program focuses on cultivating a dialogue with theAtlanta community via thematic group shows and solo-exhibitions.

Our Gallery Space And Sculpture Garden

New Roots: A Celebration of New Beginnings is a group show highlighting the works of new artists to R. Alexander. The show’s title also alludes to the sculpture and botanical garden that is growing, both in terms of its natural development as well as in the number of displays. Located on a 2.5 acre lot, the gardens at R. Alexander provide a tranquil, harmonious

environment for visitors. Displaying over 100 varieties of hostas, dozens of rare and unique conifers, and a collection of Japanese maples and exotic ferns, R. Alexander imagines its new location as not only an art gallery but a destination.

As roots take hold of the soil, a foundation for something beautiful is established, and R. Alexander attests to this type of growth in terms of what we are trying to achieve locally and within the Atlanta art community.

Paige Bradley

Paige Bradley was born in Monterey, California, in 1974. Paige started drawing at age 10, and by 15, began studying at art schools. Paige has been working on bronze sculpture

since the age of 17 and is accomplished in all aspects of the process. She often creates her own molds and patinas in order to keep the quality at the highest level.

For Paige, the figure is the perfect vehicle to communicate the human condition. She defines success two-fold:

being a visionary through truthful and courageous artwork; and giving others a source of inspiration and connection through her Art. “Being approached by people who have been profoundly affected

by what I have made is the greatest reward of all,” she says. Her works tend to take the human form to its limits in order to show that inner strength and stability can reinforce physical and emotional

human needs. When examining her work, she challenges her viewers to ask themselves, “Would we recognize ourselves if we could expand beyond our bodies?”

She currently lives in London with her husband and two children.

Noah Desmond

Inspired by nature, Noah has an impressionistic style that borders the edge of abstraction. He creates landscapes and florals with bold colors and a sense of movement that draw you deep into the work. His energetic compositions are rendered

with vibrant color, vitality, and spontaneity. Noah’s textured canvases are created by layering pigments with both palette knife and brush, resulting in exciting landscapes, rich in depth and vibrancy.

After graduating from Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, and receiving a BFA, Noah attended Chicago Institute of Decorative Finishing, and School of the Museum of Fine Arts. Noah Desmond has won many regional awards and

scholarships, such as the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design Merit Scholarship and the Blatz Foundation Scholarship. He is recognized for his painterly approach and freshness to his work, earning him a place in corporate as well as

private collections.

Marc Esteve

Marc Esteve was born in Alcoy, Alicante, Spain in 1971. He began his studies locally at the Escuela de Artes y Oficios. In 1994, he left his hometown to reside by the sea, which became his inspiration for achieving the Mediterranean light that is

showcased in his works. In 1997, Esteve attended the Universidad de Bellas Artes in Altea, Spain. In 2001, after completing his studies on the university level, Esteve returned to his hometown where he now resides.

He continues to draw his inspiration from the movement and light of the sea, but now he includes local muses to create well-rounded,

hyperrealistic works of art. Esteve’s work can be found in national and private collections in locales such as Spain, England, Portugal, and Russia. His work is also a part of the Royal collection at the palace in Saudi Arabia.

Esteve has participated in many collective exhibitions in his native Spain.

Sergey Fedotov

Sergey Fedotov was born in 1968 in Moscow, Russia. After graduating from the Physics faculty of Moscow State University in 1993, he developed a passion for painting. In 2001, he traveled to Cuba, France, and Crimea to continue pursuing his i

nterest in art. That same year, Sergey had his first solo exhibition in Moscow, Russia, at the prestigious Central House of Painters.

During Fedotov’s recent art shows at Art Palm Beach and Art Sarasota 2012 International Art Fairs in Florida, a prominent American art critic Mr. Bruce Helander enthusiastically commented on Sergey’s artworks:

“My trip to the Gulf Coast of Florida was indeed blessed with a new discovery of

genuine talent: this artist mixes together a tossed salad of abstract narrativeimagery, traditional color field painting, and aggressive textural surfaces, alongwith a natural, almost primitive force that cleverly balances the old and the new,

sophistication with naivety...”

Sergey Fedotov’s paintings are featured in Russian and American museums, as well as in private collections in Russia, Europe, and the United States.

Gail Foster

Gail Foster is an Atlanta-based artist, who resides and works out of her studio in Serenbe, an environmentally-conscious community located 25 minutes south of Atlanta. Foster’s work is motivated by an

impassioned view of the human condition and by a joyful celebration of the power of the inner spirit. In addition to lifestyle and trade publications, Gail Foster’s art has been featured in one museum solo show, eight museum

group exhibits, twenty solo private gallery exhibits, fifty-one private gallery group exhibits and thirty publiccollections. Foster is a proud artist, philanthropist, educator, and activist whose unique outlook will invigorate

the course of her creations.

Pat Hobaugh

Pat Hobaugh grew up on a small farm in rural Indiana. He never took an art class or touched a paintbrush until his senior year in college when he took an Art History course that changed his life. He fell in love with the Old Masters and started to teach himself to paint. After several years of self-education, he went back to school to earn a Bachelors

and Masters degree in painting from the University of Iowa and the University of Winsconsin-Madison, respectively. Now he is represented in galleries across the country and has work in collections around the world.

He currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.

Jesus Navarro

Jesus Navarro was born in Jerez, Cadiz, located in the south of Spain, in 1952. By the age of 12, his artistic talents led him to the local school of arts and crafts (Escuela de Artes y Oficios de Jerez) where he studied painting and sculpture.

At this time, he also became the apprentice of locally renowned painter Ramirez Toro, under which Navarro learned the complex techniques of classical painting.

In 1971, Navarro moved to Barcelona where he began a phase of self-teaching, focusing on combining classical techniques along with his newly discovered self interests in detailed formation of compositions. Three years later,

Navarro’s first exhibition was held in Zamore, Spain, at the bank Caja de Ahorros. At the age of 25, Navarro partnered with other painters along with the City Hall of Barcelona to create the Escuela de Arte Tres en Raya, where he was the director.

In 1996, Navarro’s work became part of a collective exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami, Florida. The museum

acquired this piece from the exhibition for their permanent collections.

Navarro’s work has continued to grow in popularity, allowing him to exhibit his work in Spanish cities such as Madrid, Torredembarra, Barcelona, Majorca, Vigo, Malaga, Valencia, and in countries such as Scotland, China and the United States.

His works can be found in private collections in Europe, Asia, and in North and South America.

Brad Robertson

Brad Robertson has painted all his life. Born and raised in the coastal town of Mobile, Alabama, his earliest inspiration was the landscape—the indigenous pines and oak trees, and the waters of Mobile Bay. The coastal landscape is still a major source

of inspiration for Robertson.

At Auburn University Robertson spent time studying architecture and industrial design. During his time in college an art professor nurtured the foundation for what would eventually become Robertson’s career as a professional painter, encouraging his unique ability

to work with color and texture to create depth, complexity and expressiveness. Robertson earned his BFA in graphic arts in 1999, leaving painting behind for a time and moving to Atlanta to work as a full-time graphic artist at a production company. After a few years he decided the structure and monotony of big-city life was not for him, and began to think of his roots in Alabama.

Robertson moved back to Alabama in 2002, lured back to the more relaxed coastal way of life. Since then, Robertson has become an award-winning artist with collectors throughout the United States. Still based in Mobile, he is active in the local art community and says he cannot imagine doing anything else for a living. He considers good music an integral part of the artistic process and

tries his hand at fishing in his spare time, though he admits he should probably stick to painting.

Marton Varo

Born March 15, 1943 in Szekelyudvarhely, Transylvania, Hungary (now Romania), Marton Varo studied sculpture at Ion Andreescu Institute of Arts in Cluj, Romania from 1960 to 1966. In 1970, he moved to Debrecen, Hungary, where

he completed several sculptures for public places and was awarded the Munkacsy Prize in 1984.

Receiving a Fulbright scholarship in 1988, Varo became affiliated with the University of California, Irvine, studying the relationship between architecture and sculpture. In 1990, he became the Artist in Residence for a public art

project in the City of Brea, California.

Varo lives and works in the USA, in California and Florida, spending summers working in Carrara, Italy, where he quarries the most exceptional marble that Michelangelo used hundreds of years ago for his own divine creations.

Alice Williams

Alice Williams grew up in Greenville, South Carolina and studied at Furman University and Clemson University. She has also studied with many well-known artists including Chatov, Shank, Kintsler, and Al Green.

Known for her strong color and composition, Alice Williams has been creating charming interiors, landscapes, and figurative

paintings for more than forty years. Williams’ style is reminiscent of the Impressionists’, yet it is uniquely her own with a modern-day appeal. Her paintings have a striking immediacy as she brings to the viewer her own world of cozy interiors and cottage garden

scenes, many of which were painted on location right in her own home.

Alice says of her work, “I am here on this earth to create. Not only create, but express the beauty I see around me. I feel responsible to render it... What does it matter? It matters not to many... But somehow, it matters to me.”

Her work is not only intensely personal, but rich in subject matter. Living in Europe from 1986 to 1990, she painted exclusively throughout France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Holland, and England. Her beloved Kenya and Tanzania have inspired many of her

most memorable paintings. She currently lives in Provence, France.
