The Cross Hatch Test

The paint film is cut in a cross pattern before pressure sensitive tape is applied. The tape is removed rapidly to

assess adhesion of the paint to the substrate. The more the paint detaches from the surface of the substrate,

the worse the level of adhesion. This illustrates the superior adhesion of Hycote red primer compared to

The Conical Mandrel Test

The paint film is bent to an extreme angle in a conical mandrel. Any cracking or peeling of the paint
