MCHFT has gone live with AKI alerts

• Detects AKI based on serum creatinine rise • Reports the AKI stage in line with KDIGO classification

& NICE CG169

• “AKI warning” is found in the field below the serum creatinine on the U&E report

• You need to document the stage of the AKI in patients’ notes

For all AKI – use AKI Pathway• Plan to have pathway stocked on wards

• If no stock on ward - print off from clinical policies section on intranet

• Complete both sides of pathway

• Pathway prompts interventions, investigations and referral processes

• Compliant with NICE, CQUIN and QS requirements
