Created in 1897, New Orleans’ famous redlight district entertained many a well-heeled gentleman andnearly shoeless men alike. Dubbed “Storyville” after SidneyStory, a city councilman who designated it as an area wherebrothels were legal, it was a haven for jazz musicians, risquéwomen, and men of questionable morals until 1917 when it wasshut down. This tour allowsyou to see firsthand the hard work and extensive planning thatgoes into this grand event. Since 1947, Blaine Kern Studios hasbuilt the breathtaking parade floats for major parades not onlyfor Mardi Gras, but for parades all over the world.
