The Logistics Team works to promote Eastern Ontario as a location for companies involved in the movement and distribution of goods,
such as:

In 2008, the value of new distribution centre construction in Canada was estimated to hit over $1 billion annually
Obviously this sector is a sector that is experiencing strong growth
Ontario East is a good fit for logistics:• Connects three large markets• Good network of highways• Jumping off point for Eastern Canada• Low land cost• Good labour• Excellent secondary linkages

In our region, we have seen several new distribution centres open:
• SCM-Walmart (Cornwall)• Sears (Belleville)• Lyreco (Kingston)• Giant Tiger (Brockville)• Canadian Tire (Coteau du Lac)
In December 2008, Shoppers Drug Mart announced the construction of a new DC in Cornwall.

Just recently, Tim Horton's announced that they were building a new DC in Kingston
