In recent years, TITA.NO χ paint pigments have been increasingly used as the best available source of titanium dioxide to opacify and add acid resistance to quality porcelain enamels. However, not only was supply tight at times but many desirable paint properties developed in these pigments were un necessary and even undesirable for ceramic frits. That's why Τ Ι Τ Λ > Ό \ research developed a highly purified, non-pigmentary titanium dioxide—TIT ANOX-TG. This new product makes ceramic frit production easier and faster because it is free-flowing, non-caking and non-balling. More important yet. its purity permits color-uniformity never before attained and its exceptional opacifying power has accelerated the development of tough, thin, single-coat enamels. Furthermore, because TITANOX-T<; is produced in new plant facilities whollv dev o t e d to th is n o n - p i g m e n t a r y grade , i ts supply is independent of TITANOX pigment requirements.
At present, T I T A \ O \ T < ; is also being employed for improved welding rod coatings and mixed titanium-tungsten carbide cutting tips, as well as for electro-Ceramics, glass, ceramic colors and glazes, and special ceramic bodies. New uses are being investigated. Our Technical Service Department is ready at any time to work with you in exploring further applications where this new type of titanium dioxide iua> ne u.seu ιυ your advantage, vv ny not drop us a line today?
