Service #1Aggregate or create strategic information on regional and global talent-related issues to provide direction and foster cross-sector innovation on emerging program and career sector needs and enable other CoE services

CATALYST: The innovative & proactive force in developing the initiative

INCUBATOR: Gave life to the initiative: resources in cash and in kind

PARTNER: A meaningful mix of vision, expertise and neutrality

RUDDER: Articulating a direction forward in growing Toronto and the FSS as a Global Hub for Education and Talent (The Deloitte Report, Boston Consulting Group research, GFCI, etc.)

The Role of Government

Provincial: Financial support for the CoE, and various project funding to attract and promote business

Federal: Smaller amounts to support community building

Both levels now play a more significant role as the TFSA gets an expanded role

Both levels place a premium on cross-sectoral collaboration among key stakeholders such as industry and education

Local educational/training institutions have:

at all phases of the initiative
