Francisco Vásquez de Coronado, a Spanish explorer searching for gold, traveled the region that became New Mexico in 1540–1542. In 1598 the first Spanish settlement was established on the Rio Grande River by Juan de Onate; in 1610 Santa Fe was founded and made the capital of New Mexico. This is an important part of history because Santa Fe, New Mexico is the capital. The date of the event that when Santa Fe was founded was in 1610.

I liked working on the power point about New Mexico (NM). I learned all about New Mexico like I learned this that back in the day New Mexico used to build their villages on cliffs, did you know that? That also New Mexico’s highest temp is 122 F., and the lowest is -50 C.. And that the state grass is Blue Gramma. Once again I really liked doing my power point on New Mexico.
