San Luis Obispo County Builders Exchange is a 501 (c) 6 non-profit contractors association established and founded in 1949 and we serve members throughout the Central Coast. Our members consist of licensed contractors, sub-contractors (all in good standing with the California Contractors State License Board), companies/businesses that are engaged in supplying a product and/or service(s) to the construction industry, as well as architecture, engineering and building design firms.

MEMBERSHIP CLASSIFICATIONS REGULAR/AFFILIATE Must be a licensed contractor holding a valid State of California Contractors License in good standing with the CSLB.

ASSOCIATE Persons or entities engaged in supplying a product or service(s) to the construction industry, but not regulated by the Contractors State License Board.

PROFESSIONAL Limited to a licensed individual, partnership or corporation engaged exclusively in architecture, engineering or building design. Professional members may not be a licensed contractor. Professional members may not check out plans. Bulletin is sent by e-mail only, NO On-Line Plan Room access.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: The Exchange’s Board of Directors reserves the right to increase dues from time to time to offset rising costs. Dues, fees and assessments shall be fixed by the Board from time to time. Dues shall be paid in advance. Resignation shall be in writing, 30 days in advance of your next renewal/ anniversary date. Resignation shall not relieve a member of the obligation to pay any and all past due dues, assessments or other charges unpaid at time of resignation. If accepted for membership, applicant becomes subject to the Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws of this Exchange and hereby agrees to hold harmless any and all Board of Directors, members, or officers, monetary or litigation wise, when said directors are transacting the business of the Exchange. By signing this, I am consenting to unsolicited faxes and emails from SLOCBE. The Board of Directors must approve this application.
