Research & Publications in Marine Science in digital form, including preprints, published articles, technical reports, working papers and more. http://193.191.134.12/afrilib/ The African Marine Atlas http://www.africanmarineatlas.net developed by ODINAFRICA provides substantial maps, images, data and information to coastal resource managers, planners and decision-makers from various administrative institutions and specialized agencies in Africa. The Atlas will be of immense benefit to national institutions and a variety of users such as environmentalists, local administrators, park managers, the scientific community, fishing cooperatives, tourists, hotel keepers, teachers, NGOs, the general public, and any other interested persons. It has over 800 downloadable data products derived from the marine geo-sphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, biosphere, geopolitical fields as well as the human socio-economic dimensions. Ocean Data and Information Network for Africa (ODINAFRICA) an invaluable contribution to improve the management of coastal and marine resources and the environment for member state institutions. The project has been implemented to improve the management of coastal and marine resources and the environment in participating countries by: enhancing data flow into the national oceanographic data and information centers in the participating countries as well as strengthening the capacity of these centers to analyze and interpret the data so as to develop products. The Marine Information Management (MIM) Programme within IODE focuses on the implementation of regional Ocean Data and Information Centers. In particular, it focuses on the provision of technical training for national centers that prepare marine information products.
