3.Foryourmind-map,createacentrenodethatis‘literacy’.Createnodesthatbranchoffthis

nodethatrepresentdifferentliteraciesthatyou

thinkexist.Onemightbe‘informationliteracy’,

another‘digitalliteracy’andanother‘science

literacy’andsoon.Therearenowronganswers

here,sobecreative.

4.Branchingoutfromthesesecondaryliteracy

nodes,makenewnodesthatrepresenttheskills

orcompetenciesthatthespecificliteracywouldneed.Forexample,branchingoffofinformation

literacymightbe‘abilitytofindinformation’and

‘evaluatesinformationneed’and‘effectivelyuse

information’,etc.

5.Youcantakethisevenfurtherbyconsidering

whomightsupportthedevelopmentofthis

literacy(orskill/competency)asthenextlayer.Is
