1:15-2:15PM Session 4: Safety/Environmental Regulatory ReviewAs the Trump Administration enters the home stretch, the deregulatory activity has increased with several major environmental regulations from the Obama Adminis-tration being replaced. The efforts at removing existing rules have been challenged and many court cases have been filed in opposition. OSHA has begun rulemak-ing on a critical regulation – the Lockout/Tagout Standard which impacts every printing operation’s ability to safely operate equipment in an economical manner. Even though EPA is revising its regulations, OSHA has remained aggressive in their enforcement activity with printing operations. Hazardous wastes management continues to be a focus of state enforcement actions. A review proposed Lockout/Tagout regulatory change and other key EPA deregulatory rules will be included in the presentation.

The first technology will elim-inate Chrome 6, called Helio-Chrome NEO. The second part of the presentation, called Helio Pearl, will not only eliminate the need for any chrome layer but also turbo charge the speed of producing a Gravure cylinder without any Galvanic pro-cess needed.
