GenreThe genre we have decided to present for our final film opening task is a ‘spy comedy’ film with regards to the popular genre in which people watch. We also believe we can produce a film opening of entertainment and practical jokes for our audience. With creating a ‘spy comedy’ film, we can incorporate and attract a wide range of audience; children, adults and families. Additionally, we have decided to have a film certificate of PG so it can be a funny adult and teenage film but also a family film. The film will also be a parody.

PlotOur plot includes two secret agent spy’s; one with extensive experience and another who’s an amatuer, who are on a mission to capture a memory stick which is kept under high security. The memory stick is the key to uncover the murder case of Sarah Frankel's, however the memory stick in the wrong hands could lead to a wrong conviction and a wrong victim. However, will ‘Evelyn’ and ‘Quintin’ get the right memory stick?

Characters / costumes Millie will play the character of ‘Evelyn’ who is a very sophisticated and serious spy who is always determined to complete a mission no matter what or who gets in the way. She works along her associate ‘Will’ who is played by Jordan.

He is her intern and the complete opposite to her. His determination is lessened by his stupidity and extreme lack of knowledge of what is going on. Millie is constantly trying to look after him and prevent him from ruining their mission.

Millie will wear all black clothes in order to blend in the dark, she will also have a number of equipment including a gun.

However Jordan will wear few black clothes with luminous shoes and white T-shirt which outlines his lack of understanding of how to be a spy.

Opening SceneWithin the opening scene, we see the two characters meet outside the house where the memory stick is secured at. We immediately examine the lack of understanding the male character Jordan has; who is unsuitably wearing the wrong outfit. The character Millie will be disgusted and will be in shock about what he is doing. Jordan will try an adventurous way of getting in where as Millie will just go through the door. They find the glass box with the memory stick in, they then check it on their laptop and all is perfect until Jordan drops the glass box and it smashes all over the floor.

Shots We Aim to Use:Even though we cannot predict the shots we will use, we aim to use the following and more:

We would like to incorporate a lot of our titles into the scenes when doing some of these shots, for example we would like to use a worm's eye view when the spy’s are going up the stairs, where we will then also add titles onto each of the stairs to make it more effective and realistic.

LocationWe will try to venue our location within Pontlands Park. It's an ideal location for this opening film scene to be shot as it's a big house with space around for the actors to be filmed in. It's also a good place as there are many big open planned rooms in which we can film.

MusicWith regards to our genre ‘Comedy Spy’ we will include a variation of music that creates suspense and mystery. However, it will be faded in the background as we will also be having narrative present and using the skill foley to make sound effects and create more of a visual image.

ProductionOur production ‘Wild Productions’ will be partnering up with ‘Universal studios’ as it is the film production of Johnny English. The film institute Universal Studios will help us promote our movie as people generally like to watch films that they are familiar with and enjoy the other films that they have been involved in.
