Dear Parents
Please take note of the instructions given below-
1. Holiday home work should be done under parental guidance and not by
the parents. The child must do it on his/her own handwriting.
2. All the work done should be done beautifully on the size of the pastel
sheets, as instructed by the teacher and presented in a decorated paper
folder.
3. Each and every work should carry your child’s name and class.
4. Submit the holiday homework on the date given by the class teacher.
The date will be informed to you after the vacation.

get along and pen down your thoughts on
any one of these topics-
‘If I were a Pilot’ or ‘If I were a Bird’ Write the paragraph on an A4 size pastel
sheet. Draw or paste suitable pictures.
Describe Air
Air isn’t always the easiest thing to see, hear, touch, smell, or taste. What words can you
use to describe air? Lets check on your vocabulary. On an A-4 size pastel sheet, write
words that you relate to describe air around us. It should be in the form of a web-chart as
shown below.

Social Skills
All About Airlines Have you ever been to an airport? You must have seen so many airplanes. Do they all look
alike? No, they belong to different airlines. An airline is a company that provides air
transport services to all of us. Collect pictures of five airline logos of India or world from
newspapers or magazines like Indigo, Spicejet, Air India to name a few. Paste them and pre-
sent it with beautiful border on an A-3 size pastel sheet.
What makes air dirty?
Talk to your friends and family members and find out the things that make air dirty. List
down at least five of them like burning of garbage, smoke from factories etc.
Paste relevant pictures to depict the same in the form of a collage.
Do it on an A-4 size pastel sheet.
My Pledge -
Make a pledge card on an A-4 size pastel sheet. Enlist one way in which you will try to
keep air clean and clear, for example, by car pooling or by not bursting crackers. Fix your
pledge card in a decorated pot. Start your pledge with the sentence starter given below-
I pledge to keep the air clean by…..

Spread Awareness
There's nothing quite like opening the door and breathing fresh, clean, air—but how clean
is the air you're breathing right now? Air pollution has become a big problem.
LET’S MAKE PEOPLE AWARE ABOUT ITS ILL EFFECTS.
Take an A4 size pastel sheet.
Make a colourful poster enlisting any three effects of breathing polluted air like ‘We fall
sick when we breathe in polluted air.
The Flying Animals
Birds aren’t the only animals that can fly in the air.
With the help of your parents, surf net and find out about
any one amazing flying animal like snakes etc. Write 5-6
lines about it. Use an A-4 size pastel sheet. Paste the
picture of the amazing animal too.

My Weather Chart
It’s getting warmer day by day. Make a table on an A-4 size
sheet as shown below. Write the maximum and minimum
temperature of the day.
Do this task for a week. Calculate the difference between
the maximum and minimum temperature.

Numbers on Clouds
On an A4 size pastel sheet, write the age of all the
members of your family in a cloud as shown in
the image. Give it a 3-D effect. (one on one
cloud)
Perform the following operations-
a) Add age of all the family members.
b) Subtract the age of the youngest from the
eldest family member.
c) Arrange the age of the family members in
both increasing order and decreasing order.

Juggling Numbers -
From old newspapers cut out digits 0-9 and stick them in a creative manner on an A-3
size pastel sheet. Juggle the digits to make the numbers as described below.
1) Make the smallest number using any four digits.
2) Make the greatest number using any four digits.
3) Make the greatest possible number that is greater than 8000 but less than 8500.
4) Make the smallest number that is greater than 4850.
Practice Work -
Do one page of transcription, both in English and Hindi twice a week.
Maths-Learn and write tables from 2 to 7 once a week.
Creative Skills -
My Wall Hanging Make 5 cut outs of different kinds of birds.
Present them in the form of a wall hanging. Try
to use paper folding technique for the same.
My Own Aeroplane
1. Draw and colour a picture of an aeroplane on
an A3 size pastel sheet.
2. Use waste materials like cardboard, pencil
shavings, crayon shavings etc. to decorate the
same.
3. Cut the picture drawn by you.
4. Paste it on a piece of cardboard.
5. Give your aeroplane a name of your own
choice.
Let’s fly a Kite -
Everyone remembers the first time they flew a
kite. It’s a memorable experience and a lot of
fun. Try making your own kite by using differ-
ent materials. Send across a message you wish
to through your kite.
Write the message on the tail part of the kite.

Visit the Airforce Museum in Delhi.
Write a paragraph on an A3 sheet on what you saw there.
Paste self-clicked photographs to make it more informative.
