General experience overview Josh has broad experience advising on all aspects of banking and insolvency law. He has acted for various local and international financial institutions in different types of financing transactions, including property financing, project financing and asset-based and receivables lending.

Josh spent the first years of his legal career at a large international law firm, where he was an associate focusing on insolvency and banking law.

Major transactions Below is a selection of matters Josh has worked on, both at Assured and at previous organisations:

• Advising leading restructuring firm PPB Advisory on its merger with PwC Australia.

• Acting for syndicate of lenders headed by Bank of America, N.A. on all Australian aspects of US$150 million asset-based financing transaction for leading motion picture equipment company, Panavision.

• Acting for Commonwealth Bank of Australia and its receivers in successful defence of significant mortgagor claims in NSW Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.

• Advising major Australian financier on varied and significant acquisition finance, property finance and receivables financing facilities.
