Experience Property Sales & Marketing Coordinator at Dunowen Properties (07.2013 – Current / 1 year and 9 months) (Vancouver / CANADA)

I work together with the Company Director and General Manager to provide marketing and sales strategies for short term or long term stays at the luxury furnished suites in Downtown Vancouver. My responsibilities include providing leadership to sustain revenue goals and achieve growth consistent with the company vision and identifying strategies and putting them into action plans to expand the customer base.

Responsibilities:

✦ Establish and implement all sales activities, sales planning and revenue goals of the company.

Project Assistant at Global Business Reports (04.2012 – 07.2013 / 1 year, 4 months) (Vancouver / CANADA)

I worked together with the Senior Project Director and Lead Journalist to provide research assistance by organizing and facilitating the communication between the interviewees (which includes mining and service companies, as well as government officials) and the publication Engineering &Mining Journal.

Functions:

✦ Assist in promoting the new mining reports in Canada, US & Australia, and help organize meetings with respective officials and company executives.

Brand Manager for Dabur International (07.2009 – 03.2012 / 2 years, 9 months) (Hobby Cosmetics in Istanbul / TURKEY)

I worked closely with the CEO in Turkey and the Marketing management in Dubai and India to carefully plan launching new products and projects to increase sales. I was in charge of 5 different product lines and also coordinated all the new marketing project updates with our new headquarters in Dubai. When launching a new product I looked over all processes that include product formulation and performance, pricing and positioning in the market, ATL and BTL projects.

Functions:

✦ Provide R&D team with project details to guide the beginning of the product or project launch.

✦ Work together with the Sales team to determine the pricing structure as well as the sales volume of each product line.

✦ Analyze the data given provided by Nielsen research about the market and use the information to provide new strategies about future projects to management.

Project Leader at Can.be International (09.2008 – 06.2009 / 10 months) (Istanbul / TURKEY)

I worked closely with the CEO and helped with the relations with our schools abroad. I was mainly in charge of the US and Canada education program for high school and college students, as well as the Canada Immigration program for adults. I provided advising support to our clients and helped them decide their career goals. I also worked on improving the design of the brochures, flyers, posters, as well as other promotional material. I researched other possible markets that could be tapped for further sales and put together reports from fairs and meetings that were attended.

I worked together with the Marketing and Sales department of SAP in Turkey and my main responsibility was to call current and potential customers to see if they are interested in buying a new module of SAP (ERP) or if they were interested in starting a new project with SAP (ERP). I documented all the information into the database system and according to the classification, the SAP sales team contacted the company for further services. I would also assist in the after-sales client satisfaction by calling them and making sure the transition was smooth and that they are satisfied with the software.

Internship – Marketing Assistant at Olive Technology (06.2007-09.2007 / 3 months) (Hyderabad / INDIA)

My main responsibility was to assist the after sales process, but interviewing the whole company and understanding the core system within the company and learning about what they wanted to know from their clients. After my research, in the course of 3 to 4 weeks, I put together a comprehensive Customer Evaluation form that was to assist the different software development teams with ways to improve themselves and also to gain extra thoughts from clients about how the software can be improved. I also completed a short research report on how to be more visible on the net for many different companies in the IT business to find out more about Olive Technology.

Student Leadership - Vice President at Biola University (05.2006-05.2007 / 1 year) International Student Association (California / USA)

My responsibilities were to help coordinate and organize all the jobs that needed to be done by the different departments in the association. I was also helping the President plan meetings and help him also come up with a mission statement as well as a vision for the group. I was also in charge of planning events and helping the team accomplish them one by one.

Student Leadership - Conference Director at Biola University (07.2005-05.2006 / 10 months) SMU (California / USA)

While I was the director of the conference my responsibilities were to hire coordinators that would be leaders of the 6 specifics departments, also to hire the general staff that would be working in the departments by volunteering their time for the success of the conference. I was also in charge of hiring two speakers that would convey the topic and vision we had for the conference and also a band to play music for entertainment and helping the youth to enjoy the conference more. I had weekly meetings with the student union president to report the success of my responsibilities and weekly meetings with my coordinators to make sure they were on top of their work. After nine months of planning, I received a letter from the university rector stating that it was one of the best conferences that the school was able to attend.
