Civil Aviation Executive Lead: Ali Bahrami, Vice President

Work with the FAA, regulatory authorities and Congress to accelerate and streamline product approval processes

> Collaborate on implementation of the Certifi cation TransformationRoad Map

> Implement continuous improvement process for Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) effectiveness metrics

> Implement Certifi cation Process Improvement (CPI) principles

> Achieve certifi cation streamlining process improvement provisions inFAA Reauthorization

> Work with EPA and FAA to achieve timely promulgation of CO2 emission standards consistent with CAEP 10 agreement

Advocate for policies and funding that enable the achievement of NextGen performance objectives and the safe integration of UAS and other new entrants into the NAS

> Achieve appropriate funding and legislative support for UAS, NextGenand FAA Reauthorization priorities

> Fully support government/industry advisory committees

> Advocate for availability of suffi cient and safe spectrum for UASglobal interoperability

> Facilitate global harmonization of UAS standards (ICAO, JARUS, and ISO)

> Clarify UAS export policies and processes and advance reform proposals

National Security Policy

Promote robust, balanced and stable U.S. defense spending

> Work to elevate defense spending as a national priority

> Highlight investment shortfalls and resulting long-term harm to military effectiveness and the A&D industrial base

> Encourage realistic budgets, program stability and ‘regular order’in Congress

Promote a secure, effi cient and innovative industrial base that shapes and supports U.S. national security strategy and enhances economic growth

> Expand AIA’s presence as industry’s collective voice in national security policymaking

> Pursue continued DOD acquisition reform

> Execute Congressional outreach, public events and press activity on important ongoing industrial base issues

> Promote broad national security priorities, such as cyber security, national security space, missile defense, and the strategic nuclear deterrent

Space Executive Lead: Frank Slazer, Vice President

Advocate for increased, predictable and balanced civil aerospace investments

> Support ongoing NASA programs of record

> Advocate for increased NASA budgets to support Science, Exploration, Technology Development and Aeronautical Research accounts

> Assure resources for NOAA weather satellite constellations

> Assure full funding for NextGen investments and other civil aviation infrastructure priorities

Assure America’s 21st Century space competitiveness

> Ensure suffi cient DoD investments in space systems modernization to maintain U.S. leadership in space

> Secure Administration support to implement a 21st Century Space Competitiveness Strategy

> Support FAA’s commercial space transportation functions, minimizing regulation on U.S. industry

> Encourage U.S. Government, including NASA, DoD, and NOAA to actively promote new space markets

> Improve government awareness that a robust military space industrial base benefi ts commercial & civil space markets and vice versa

Advance security cooperation enterprise reforms to prioritize and expedite building of full-spectrum partner capability

> Call for a new Presidential initiative outlining a comprehensive security cooperation doctrine

> Secure Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) process reforms that improve industry responsiveness and competitiveness to fulfi ll partner requirements

> Improve alignment of Export Control and Technology Security/Foreign Disclosure reform efforts with partner requirements

Promote the full functionality of the U.S. Export-Import Bank

> Restore the Bank’s quorum and protect its operations in support of a free trade agenda

> Convey national security arguments for Ex-Im Bank fi nancing of commercial and dual-use products

Technical Operations and Workforce Executive Lead: Rusty Rentsch, Assistant Vice President

Advocate for programs, policies, and investments that promote innovation in the US aerospace and defense workforce and industrial community

> Advocate for technology investment and government funding thatsupports research and innovation, technical capabilities, and a robust workforce throughout the supply chain

> Support legislation and acquisition policy that protects intellectual property while fostering architecture standards that promote innovation opportunities

> Work with our customers to support digital transformation of the ecosystem through model-based development practices and standards

> Collaborate with stakeholders to inspire, educate, improve access to and retain a diverse and qualifi ed A&D workforce

> Advocate for a healthy regulatory and legislative environment to the benefi t of the aerospace and defense workforce

Promote the development and adoption of consensus-based standardsand policies that drive industry best practices and member value

> Be the standards developer of choice for the aerospace anddefense industry
