The motion carried. OLD BUSINESS: Irvin Loe, Road Superintendent, gave an update on the road department. Paul Lies, Sheriff, gave an update on the Sheriff’s Department and also discussed the bill received from Evans Funeral Home. The doorway into the Social Services of- fice will be remodeled to allow for better wheelchair and baby stroller accessibility. Glenda Collier made a motion to accept the estimate from G & R Controls to recon- nect the steam radiation piping in the base- ment of the courthouse in the amount of $3,954. Neal Rud seconded the motion and the motion carried. The information received from ND Tele- phone Company regarding a security camera at the county shop in Colvin Township was reviewed. The Commissioners reviewed the Eddy County Policy Manual regarding vacation and sick leave pay and the requests made in Kathleen Thueson’s resignation letter. Commissioner Jeff Pfau left the meeting at 10:50 A.M. NEW BUSINESS: Glenda Collier made a motion to approve the Application for Conditional Use Permit from CenDak Cooperative. Neal Rud sec- onded the motion and the motion carried. Glenda Collier made a motion to approve closing the Eddy County offices on Novem- ber 22 and 23, 2018 for Thanksgiving and December 24 and 25, 2018 for Christmas. Neal Rud seconded the motion and the mo- tion carried. Ben Aaseth, Interstate Engineering, Inc., attended the meeting to give an update on the construction project on County Road #8, CNOC-1427(058). He presented Change Order No. 1, which changes the completion date to 11/20/18, and Progressive Estimate No. Three (3) for the project. Glenda Collier made a motion to approve both the change order and estimate and it was seconded by Jeff Pfau. The motion carried. Ben presented Engineer’s Opinions of Probable Construc- tion Costs for 0.81 miles of 4” hot bitumi- nous pavement, chip seal, on County Road 8, 7.0 miles of 3” hot bituminous pavement and 1” leveling, chip seal, on County Road 10, Brantford highway, and 7.0 miles of full depth reclamation with cement stabilization, double chip seal, on County Road 10, Brant- ford highway. Travis Peterson, State’s Attorney, attend- ed the meeting to discuss the change order presented by Ben Aaseth. He also gave an update on the water board. The meeting was called to order by Neal Rud, Chairperson.
