Finally, the intern will assist in the production and editing of the new organization website. Description of compensation including amount, how and when paid and treatment of taxes, as well as, facilities, and supervision to be provided by the worksite organization to the student:

This is an unpaid internship for credit only. WWH will provide the intern with a workstation (cubicle) and desktop computer to complete organizational tasks. The communications director will supervise the intern at WWHs 1327 Annex (1327 14th St, NW, Suite 200) location.

Units of credit to be earned: 3 (require a minimum of 45 hours of work per credit)Time frame of internship:

Start date: Feb. 4, 2015End date: May 8, 2015Weekly schedule: Wed. & Fri. 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. GradingIntern: The student should follow the syllabus provided by the instructor.

Supervisor: The supervisor should write an evaluation of the student and send it to the instructor by semesters end. It should be signed and on company letterhead. This letter should verify the number hours the student has worked and give a descriptive evaluation of the quality of work provided by the student during the internship. A copy of the evaluation should be provided to the student. Please note that students will be allowed to view the evaluation.

Instructors access to evaluate the studentEarly in the internship the student should coordinate and the organization should welcome an onsite visit at the worksite for the instructor. The onsite visit should include a tour of the facility and the students workspace, and an opportunity to meet and talk briefly with the supervisor.

Student Interns Goals and Objectives (including project plan)Goal: Increase my social media practice through increasing WWHs social media presence. Objectively monitor changes in online following. Objective: Post a minimum of 4 posts to Instagram, Facebook and Twitter weekly.Objective: Interact with community health tastemakers on social media. Goal: Develop my ability to make press/media kits through practice and experience.Objective: Assist in the production of materials for the opening of WWHs new building. Have my contributions critiqued and reviewed.Objective: Spearhead one component of the press/media kit with professional supervision. Succeed in having it incorporated into the new buildings press tours. Project plan: WWH and the Human Rights Campaign will be re-publishing a brochure on safer sex in all of its forms. I will take the lead on editing content to update the brochure with current information. This plan is quantifiable through the final, clear and concisely-worded brochure.Weather emergency plan and absenteeism policy

The intern must report appropriate absences at least one hour before the missed workday. In case of inclement weather, the intern will work remotely. Rights of the worksite in supervising the student

The supervisor has the right to direct the students work, hours, discipline, and termination.

Process of termination

Student and supervisor should share concerns with the instructor before taking action to terminate the internship. The student should have permission of the instructor before terminating participation in the internship.
