School sales have started and will be ready to start in a couple of weeks. We are gearing up for our Fall season with
lots of fun and work planned on the calendars. Please mark you calendars for the UMW Quarterly Meeting on the 27th. Plan to share your favorite
pot luck recipe or salad; an agenda will be sent out prior to our meeting.
Get the word our for our “bazaar
remix” now with a great new name: Community Marketplace. Get your
friends, neighbors, and local community service folks to come join us. It will be a great opportunity to support local
businesses and church members, buy some early Christmas gifts, buy some delicious baked goods to support UMW missions, and find local service
folks to help with all those jobs we need done. More details here.
The September Book Club meeting has
been pushed out by ONE week as Kathleen will be enjoying Europe on the
originally scheduled week. Please update your calendars…you have an extra week to read.
Event reminder has been sent out for the Retreat weekend…the planning team is working hard…it’s always a great time to renew our stories and
make new friends.

UMW News & Notes...Monthly Officers Meeting: the UMW officers meet monthly on the FIRST SUNDAY of each month. If you have
something to discuss or would like to be more involved with UMW please feel free to join us. Short meetings held at 12:15pm
Dining Out: Our UMW dining out crew is a fun bunch of ladies that love to enjoy a night out with good friends. Lots of laughter and stories to go around. We enjoy meeting new ladies so please invite a friend to join us. Dining out is scheduled the FIRST THURSDAY of each month, For 2017, we are looking at adding a few Saturday afternoon brunches; watch for details.
No dishes, no cooking, and no husbands/boyfriends. Lots of good times. Carpools arranged as needed. Dining Coordinator: Joyce Martin
BEAR with Me: is a local non-profit to help children in the ER or other
emergency situations. It takes a large piece of felt, the pattern and instructions (click here), and a few sewing skills to make cute bears to be distributed to hospitals and
emergency responders in our area. Make some bears on your own, or come to a bear making workshop at church. For
more information or to turn in your creations contact Cynthia Cahill at 972-890-1068.
WREATH WORKSHOP
Ladies are working out plans to put on a wreath making workshop on a Saturday this summer. This will be fun, put some money into missions, and decorate your
festive doors for the summer. Watch for more information.
