• 1. STB built into TV (Smart TV) solutions creates much higher TCOs (mid term costs) as TV + standalone STB while Smart TV is much more expensive as standard one. In fact, standard hotel TV + STB + Middleware all together don’t reach the price of only Smart TV television.

This creates problems in 3-5 years in any project which decides for STB built in solution (Smart TV) when interactive TV portal will be looking old, slow, and unsatisfactory and without features while TV part will be still good enough.
