SEVEN PERSONAL QUALITIES FOUND IN A GOOD LEADER 1. A good leader has an exemplary character. It is of utmost importance that a leader is trustworthy to lead others. A leader needs to be trusted and be known to live their life with honestly and integrity. A good leader "walks the talk" and in doing so earns the right to have responsibility for others. True authority is born from respect for the good character and trustworthiness of the person who leads. 2. A good leader is enthusiastic about their work or cause and also about their role as leader. People will respond more openly to a person of passion and dedication. Leaders need to be able to be a source of inspiration, and be a motivator towards the required action or cause. Although the responsibilities and roles of a leader may be different, the leader needs to be seen to be part of the team working towards the goal. This kind of leader will not be afraid to roll up their sleeves and get dirty. 3. A good leader is confident. In order to lead and set direction a leader needs to appear confident as a person and in the leadership role. Such a person inspires confidence in others and draws out the trust and best efforts of the team to complete the task well. A leader who conveys confidence towards the proposed objective inspires the best effort from team members. 4. A leader also needs to function in an orderly and purposeful manner in situations of uncertainty. People look to the leader during times of uncertainty and unfamiliarity and find reassurance and security when the leader portrays confidence and a positive demeanor. 5. Good leaders are tolerant of ambiguity and remain calm, composed and steadfast to the main purpose. Storms, emotions, and crises come and go and a good leader takes these as part of the journey and keeps a cool head. 6. A good leader, as well as keeping the main goal in focus, is able to think analytically. Not only does a good leader view a situation as a whole, but is able to break it down into sub parts for closer inspection. While keeping the goal in view, a good leader can break it down into manageable steps and make progress towards it. 7. A good leader is committed to excellence. Second best does not lead to success. The good leader not only maintains high standards, but also is proactive in raising the bar in order to achieve excellence in all areas.

The first President of the American colonies was not George Washington. Really! It was John Hanson a Constitutional Congress Representative from Maryland, who was the third President of the US Constitutional Congress from 1781-1782. But was the first representative to serve a full 1 year term and be called President of the United States in Congress Assembled. He also approved and authorized the Great Seal of the United States. U.S. Grant, while President was issued a speeding ticket for $20 for riding his horse too fast down a Washington street. He was also the first President to run against a woman candidate, Virginia Woodhull the nominee of the “Equal Rights Party” in 1872. James Garfield could perform a very unique parlor feat that entertained many. He could write in Latin with one hand, while writing in Greek with the other hand at the same time. Clinton and George W. Bush were not the only draft dodgers of war, Grover Cleveland, was accused by his Presidential Election opposing candidate of being one also, because he paid a man $150 to take his place [which was allowed under the Conscription Act of 1863]. Thomas Jefferson was an avid inventor who is credited with inventing the coat hanger… hideaway bed….and dumbwaiter. Herbert Hoover’s son had 2 pet alligators. He was also the first President to have a telephone in the White House. Jimmy Carter was the first President born in a hospital. Franklin D. Roosevelt, the 32nd President of the USA, is said to be related to 11 other Presidents. James Madison barely weighed 100 pounds. Warren Harding played poker at least twice a week and once put an entire set of White House china up to stake his hand and he lost the hand and the china.

Throughout our lives, there are a handful of memories that seem to stand above all of the rest. For me, the first

annual Watchmen Of America "2nd Amendment Celebration" is one of those special occasions. It was a rare

opportunity for those of us attending to finally meet face to face. To be able to put a face to the names that we've

come to know over the last few years was priceless.

For many, it was a very long journey to Kentucky. The countless hours spent traveling to and from the event once

again shows the dedication, and commitment of our membership.

This event was not only a first for us, it was a first in many ways for the patriot community. No other organization in

the patriot movement has ever gathered in such large numbers in one place before. We were the first to ever give

away two brand new, custom built AR-15 rifles as grand prizes during a live stream of the event.

It was the first time that all of the Officers of the Watchmen Of America were assembled together in one place.

Before the event, the closest contact we've ever had was through conference calls, or emails. To finally meet all of

the fine people that I've worked with so closely over the last few years was truly an honor for me.

Several State Commanders, and their Executive Officers were also present. They had the opportunity to share ideas

with one another, as well as forge new friendships. This interaction is the sort of thing that helps to make our

organization even stronger.

It was also the first time that all of the State Coordinators were able to meet face to face. There was even a live

vetting for a new State Coordinator during the event. This too, was a first for the Watchmen, as vettings are usually

held on a Skype conference call.

All said, this year's event was a huge success. We are already putting plans together for next year. The bar was set

pretty high this year, so next year's event will have to be even more awesome. You won't want to miss out. If you

were unable to attend this year, we hope that you will all make plans to join us next year, for the Second Annual

2nd Amendment Celebration.

It was truly an honor, and a privilege to meet each and every one of you who attended this year's event. Mrs. B and I

are looking forward to seeing all of you again next August.

Oh! Just one more thing. Freebyrd....I really thought you would be much taller.

I as the Commanding Officer for the State of New York, would like to share with my fellow

WoA members some things. I am not sure how important this may be to you, but it sure

means a lot for me.

Let me start by saying I am honored to be a WoA member and more honored to the first

FEMALE Commanding Officer of a State that is “behind enemy lines” for a better way to

put it. I have an awesome group members who support me, for WHO I am, support

everything we stand for. We have more and more members joining every time we turn

around.

Now, I don’t do gossip, and I will not tolerate “berating” of anyone in the National Command Staff. We need to move forward as we are all here for

the same reason. However, I will address some certain issue’s that keep coming forward.

First, If you can not DEAL with a FEMALE in Command, then I suggest you re-evaluate your situation. I do not become offended so easily, in fact,

there are time I have to bite my tongue as not to offend someone.

Second, I will not tolerate as a Commanding Officer others to abuse there position within the WoA. Let me be the first to tell you here and now, I

will be the first one to roll you under the bus. This is how true NY is to WoA.

Please remember, we have all become friends, and like family. There are times we are angry for certain situations, what I ask of you before you

accuse others for doing things, ask. Do not assume that others are doing things for others cause someone has done there homework and

validated what they did. If you are in a position of power and think someone is not right for the position for reason of validity, that is a different

situation, do not use your power cause you may not like the person. We are many across many states, and as we all know, we will need one

another in one way or another. No one is invincible. We are all human. We will all make a mistake somewhere down the line, and we will all have to

answer for those mistakes.

I have been working with WoA behind the scene. I will tell you first hand that the tasks at hand are not as easy as everyone thinks they are. They

are all time consuming, and we are all VOLUNTEERS. There is NO PROFIT for what we do as an organization. The entire idea behind a not for

profit organization is to grow together, stick together and have each others backs.

I really want people to consider what they say out of anger, out of power trips. There will be a day when you will need one of us, and when you

realized you have stepped on the wrong toes, they will not have your back. That can be a deadly situation.

I am a proud Patriot, I stand behind the American Constitution and I stand proud of my American given Amendments. I will fight till the very end to

protect them, myself, my family and my group. I take full personal responsibility for everyone in my command staff and group for there wrong

doings and I will reward them for stepping up and being a true Watchmen.

Anyone can join, anyone can be a Watchmen, however it takes someone with time, commitment and honorability to be a TRUE

WATCHMAN.

With this said, I want everyone to know that I stand true and committed to the WoA and the entire National Staff at the WoA for

everything they do for us.

National Command Staff… please note that New York will have your back through thick and thin… in good times, and in bad times,

we will NEVER turn our backs on you. Mrs. Tep Commander Officer of NYS

Along the 33rd parallel in the United States, there are a handful of locations that are space

radar hubs where all space activity is managed, monitored and in many cases destroyed. It is important to know, this includes all satellites

that belong to other countries. Question for you is just what are the missions of those satellites and are they part of a larger hidden war in the

stars?

Lately we have heard much about chemical weapons in Syria while there are also biological

weapons that are part of many foreign countries. It is important to know that the United States has

their own laboratory and inventory of nasty weapons and they are located at Plum Island. Plum

Island was once under the direction of the Department of Agriculture, it is now under the Department of Homeland Security. Got more

questions now?

US and British intelligence agencies have successfully cracked much of the online encryption relied upon by hundreds of millions of people to protect the privacy of their personal data, online transactions and emails, according to top-secret documents revealed by former contractor Edward Snowden.

• A 10-year NSA program against encryption technologies made a breakthrough in 2010 which made "vast amounts" of data collected through internet cable taps newly "exploitable". • The NSA spends $250m a year on a program which, among other goals, works with technology companies to "covertly influence" their product designs. • The secrecy of their capabilities against encryption is closely guarded, with analysts warned: "Do not ask about or speculate on sources or methods." • The NSA describes strong decryption programs as the "price of admission for the US to maintain unrestricted access to and use of cyberspace".
