• The task of translating poetry was much more difficult than it sounds. My partner and I were thus required to learn new phrases in English as well as in Hebrew in order to convey the proper meaning of the poem or song we were translating… We both put many hours of work, more outside of school than in it, and will be glad to see the fruits of our work when our poems are published on the website for all to read.

• … When students are used to sitting in class and listening to the teacher talk, getting out of the class and learning through computers and research adds some spice to the learning of English….

• To begin to explain what I have gained from this culture sharing project, would be like trying to teach a blind man to read!I gained so much from this project. Besides the fact that I learned about Canada, and about teens on the other side of the world, I have learned to be proud to be an Israeli, and to be proud of living in Israel. I hope to be able to recall this memory in years to come.

• I liked the talk with the poet, Eliaz Cohn because I’m a writer as well and it was fun to hear a man that shares my hobby and understands my way to express myself. His conversation gave me a new outlook on the life of a poet.
