ESPN has the Pack’s RPI at five with strength of schedule of 33.

Nevada’s four true road wins is the most in NCAA I.

The Wolf Pack ranks in the top 10 in all 32 categories in the Mountain West. Nevada leads the conference in assist turnover ratio (1.68), fewest turnovers (88), 3-point field goal percentage (43.1%) and is the only undefeated team in the MW.

Nevada has three players averaging double figures; Caleb Martin (19 ppg), Jordan Caroline (18.4 ppg), and Cody Martin (14.1 ppg). Kendall Stephens is close at 9 points per game

Five Pack players scored in double figures at Pacific; Josh Hall (25), Kendall Stephens (20), Caleb Martin (15), Cody Martin (13) and Jordan Caroline (12). Nevada has put at least three players in double figures in every game.

Caleb Martin (5), Caroline (3), Cody Martin (1), Josh Hall (1) and Kendall Stephens (1) have all produced 20-point games this season.

In each game at least one Nevada player has scored 20 points and in four games the Pack has had two players score 20 or more points.

Nevada has won its last six games by double figures and seven-of-eight by double digits with RIU (88-81) being the only game decided by less than 10 points. The largest margin of victory was 30, 98-68 over Illinois State.

Caroline (28 pts, 12 rebs vs. RIU, 12 pts, 12 rebs at UOP, at UCI 24 pts, 13 rebs) has three double-doubles this season. Twice he was a rebound short of a double-double. He has 17 career double-doubles. Cody Martin (22 pts, 12 rebs at SCU) has the Pack’s other double-double.

Caroline has scored 974 points in his collegiate career, 671 at Nevada and 303 at Southern Illinois.

Nevada has three wins over teams picked to win a conference title; Idaho in the Big Sky, Rhode Island the Atlantic 10 and UCI the Big West.

Kendall Stephens has made five 3-pointers in each of the last two games going a combined 10-of-17 to record back-to-back double figure scor-ing games for the first time at Nevada with 19 vs. Illinois State and 17 at UCI. He also was 5-of-10 at Pacific.

Josh Hall has made 60% of his three pointers connecting of 12-of-22 in the last five games. For the first time in back-to-back games he scored in double figures with 25 at Pacific and 17 vs. Davidson.

Nevada has scored 81 or more points in six of its eight games this season with a high of 98 coming against Illinois State. The low of 67 came at Hawai`i.

Caleb Martin leads the team with five 20-point games which includes a stretch of three in a row that was snapped at UCI. After coming off the bench the first four games he has started the last four. He was selected by the MW media as the 2017-18 preseason Newcomer of the Year.

Nevada’s two primary ballhandlers Lindsey Drew (4.8 apg) and Cody Martin (3.9 apg) average over three assists per game. They are second and sixth respectively in the MW in assists. Drew has a MW leading 6.3 assist to turnover ratio that is fifth nationally. T

Nevada was picked by the Mountain West media to repeat as conference champions for the 2017-18 season. Last season the team was picked to finish second.

The 2016-17 Nevada men’s basketball team was the first in school history to win a Mountain West basketball title. The Wolf Pack won the regular season and tournament titles.

Last season was the first time in a decade that the Wolf Pack earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament. The Pack lost its opening round game 84-73 to Iowa State in Milwaukee.

Head Eric Musselman signed a new five-year contract after last season that extends through the 2021-22 season.

Musselman is just the second coach in Wolf Pack history to lead his team to 24 or more wins in his first two seasons, joining Mark Fox in accomplishing the feat. Fox won 25 or more games in three consecutive seasons.

Musselman led the Pack to back-to-back postseason appearances in his first two seasons, the 2017 NCAA Tournament and a 2016 CBI Champion-ship. The CBI Championship was the first postseason title for a MW school.

Caroline was the MW Tournament MVP and also earned MVP honors at the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic. The MW coaches and media named him to their second teams. He is a media 2017-18 preseason MW selection.

Nevada will play 27 games on national television in 2017-18 up from 19 last season. The Pack’s television appearances continue to grow each year under Musselman.

The 2016-17 squad smashed the school record with 320 made 3-pointers. The old record was 253 in the 2006-07 season.

HEAD COACH ERIC MUSSELMAN (@EricPMusselman)

Building on his success from the first season, Musselman led his team to both a Mountain West regular season and tournament championship in year two, bringing home two trophies to Reno. Musselman’s team won 28 games in the 2016-17 season, tied for the second most in program history. Musselman signed a new five-year deal to coach at Nevada after last season. The deal extends through the 2021-22 season. The regular season title marked the first since the 2011-12 season and the tournament title was the first since 2005-06. With the tournament victory, the Pack also earned its first trip to the NCAA Championship since the 2006-07 season. Musselman became just the second coach in Wolf Pack history to lead his team to back-to-back 20 win seasons in his first two years, joining Mark Fox. The 2016-17 season marked the second consecutive year Musselman led his team to at least 24 wins. The success did not go unrecognized as Musselman was named the Mountain West Coach of the Year by the United States Basketball Writers Association. Under Musselman, several Wolf Pack players earned postseason honors in his second season. Senior Marcus Marshall was named to the All-Mountain West first team by both the conference coaches and media after breaking the Nevada single season record with 115 threes made, the second most in Mountain West history. Marshall was named the Newcomer of the Year in both polls. Sophomore Cameron Oliver earned first team honors from the Mountain West media and second team honors from the conference coaches. Fellow Sophomore Jordan Caroline earned second team honors in both polls, while senior D.J. Fenner earned second team honors from the coaches and third team honors from the media. In his first season at Nevada Musselman changed the culture of the men’s basketball team. Musselman led the Wolf Pack to a 24-14 record and the College Basketball Invitational Championship. The 85-82 overtime CBI Championship victory over Morehead State came on Apr. 1, marking the first time a Wolf Pack basketball team had played a game in the month of April. BleacherReport named him their Mountain West Coach of the Year. The 24 wins is the sixth most in school history and the 20-win season is the 13th in 102 years of Nevada basketball. He joined Mark Fox (2004-05) and David Carter (2008-09) as the third consecutive first-year coach to win 20 games leading Pack basketball team. Musselman also won his first collegiate game when the Pack defeated Coastal Carolina 73-56 in Hawaii. The Pack’s 15-win improvement from nine wins to 24 ranked the team as the sixth most improved NCAA I squad in the country. Three members of the Pack earned postseason honors under his direction. Senior Marqueze Coleman earned second-team All-MW honors from the coaches and media. Coleman was also named to the NABC District 17 team. Coleman’s 1098 career points ranks 21st in school history.

Fellow senior Tyron Criswell was selected as the MW Sixth Man of the Year by the conference media. Criswell ended his final campaign being named the MVP of the CBI. Freshman Cameron Oliver had one of the best seasons by a Pack freshman breaking the Nevada record, school freshman mark and MW freshman record with his 99 blocks. Oliver was selected as the Freshman of the Year by the MW media and to their All-MW second team. The conference coaches named him to their defensive team and third team. After back-to-back double-doubles at the MW Championships he was named to the All-MW Tournament team. He was the only player on the squad that did not play in the title game. Nevada is Musselman’s first collegiate head coaching position but he has been a head coach for seven professional teams, including two seasons with the Golden State Warriors (2002-04) and one with the Sacramento Kings (2006-07). He has won more than 500 games as a head coach with an overall winning percentage of .625 (566-340). The 53-year old Musselman spent the past three seasons as an assistant coach at power five schools Arizona State and LSU. In 2013 the Sun Devils advanced to the second round of the NIT and earned a trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2014. The 2015 Tiger squad also advanced to the NCAA Tournament. The 2013 ASU squad improved by 12 wins and advanced to postseason play for the first time in three years. He was promoted to associate head coach prior to the 2013-14 season. While at ASU, Musselman coached 2013 second-round NBA selection Carrick Felix, 2012-13 Pac-12 co-Freshman of the Year Jahii Carson and Jordan Bachynski who led the nation in blocks in 2013-14. In his only season at LSU, he coached two first-team All-SEC selections in Jarrell Martin and Jordan Mickey. Mickey was also selected to the SEC All-Defensive team. Musselman returned to Reno where he spent the 2010-11 season coaching the NBA D-Leagues Bighorns and led them to the only Western Conference title in franchise history. His father Bill was also an NBA head coach and they were the first father-son combination to become head coaches in the NBA. Bill also coached the Reno Bighorns of the CBA in 1978-79. Musselman’s first head coaching job came at the age of 23 when he was hired by the Rapid City

Thrillers of the Continental Basketball Association in 1989. He was the youngest coach in CBA history and the fastest to win 100 games. Musselman has served as a head coach in the CBA, the United States Basketball League (USBL) and the NBADL along with the two NBA head coaching stops. His teams have collected six division titles and have advanced to the postseason all seven times. He has coached 24 players that went on to play in the NBA. Five times he was named CBA all-star coach. After working as an assistant under Doc Rivers and Hall of Fame coach Chuck Daly, he was named the head coach of the Golden State Warriors in 2002. He led the Warriors to 38 wins, a team-high in more than 10 years, and was runner-up in the NBA Coach of Year voting. He also coached the Warriors during the 2003-04 season. Following a year as an assistant with the Memphis Grizzlies under Mike Fratello, he coached the Sacramento Kings for the 2006-07 season. Born in Ashland, Ohio he attended high school in Brecksville south of Cleveland. He attended the University of San Diego and helped the Toreros to a 24-6 record as a senior and a trip to the NCAA Tournament. USD lost in the first round to Auburn. While at USD he was named to the West Coast Conference All-Academic team three times and the Toreros played in two NCAA Tournaments. Musselman is married to Danyelle Sargent Musselman who has worked at ESPN, Fox Sports and the NFL Network as a broadcaster. Musselman has two sons Michael (21) and Matthew (16) and the couple has a daughter Mariah (7).
