Neutral® ResponsibilityWind power is the main power source at the facilities providing four times as much energy as actually used. The surplus is sent to the net-work for the benefit of the local com-munities and reduces CO2.

Certified Responsibility™Our certificates are more than just funky look-ing stamps. They are your guarantee that your new Neutral® product has been produced according to the highest ethical and environ-mental standards. Together, the certificates cover every single part of the production. Why certificates?

By applying to the highest cer-tifiable standards for textiles throughout our production we’ve set some objective criteria for our suppliers to relate to and comply with.

And since the certificates are governed by independent, inter-nationally recognized organiza-tions, we’ve completely exclude ourselves from the sphere of influence during the monitoring of compliance. Instead we can focus on performance.

Putting the certificates at the core of Neutral® is our way of

making sustainable production more accessible and manage-able.

On their own, none of the indi-vidual certificates are sufficient to meet the Neutral® criteria for truly responsible production. But in combination they address all relevant issues throughout the entire supply chain.

We call it Certified Responsibility™.

OKAY FARMERSWhy? Cotton farmers’ bargaining position is often weak. As a consequence it’s necessary to complement marketmechanisms with Fairtrade to ensure that farmers get a fairprice for their work in the fields. An okay deal has to begood for both parties.

OKAY ENVIRONMENTWhy? Our actions shouldn’t be other people’s problem. So it’s only reasonable we clean and reuse our waste-water, use wind energy, reduce and recycle waste, and take responsibility all the way through our production chain with GOTS and the EU Eco-Label certificates.

OKAY ORGANIC COTTONWhy? It’s earthworms instead of chemicals, cleaner ground water and rivers, and toxic free handpicking by the Indian farmers.

OKAY WORKING CONDITIONSWhy? Factory workers are hard working people. That’s okay – when they have good, safe working conditions. By using the highest labor rights standard around, the SA8000 standard, we know that’s the case.

OKAY TEXTILESWhy? Neutral® avoids harmful chemicals in the production. This means that the final product is clean and ready to wear -no need to wash before use.

OKAY ENERGYWhy? Replacing conventional energy sources with renewable energy is beneficial for both climate and local environment. Neutral® is produced at facilities powered by wind mills.

Quality and responsibility go hand in hand – we must manufacture to last. The strict requirements in certified responsible production require extra attention

to detail and careful handling of all materials. Okay production methods simply demand premium quality.

OKAY FACT #2MORE SUGAR PLEASE

It’s okay only to use biological pesticides. Instead of using toxic insecticides the cotton plants used by Neutral® are sprayed with

sugar water. Ants love sugar and now see the plant as their larder which they’ll have to defend from cotton beetles and other pest attacks.
