Our service is for adults (18+), both male and female, who are medically stable with neurological difficulties arising from a range of conditions including: The team at Hothfield are also experienced in managing associated needs, such as specialist spasticity management, PEG feeds and skin integrity problems. Our centre is split into two inter-connecting units, each offering a different service: a neurorehabilitation unit and a long-term residential unit. Overview Neurorehabilitation Unit The setting for our neurorehabilitation service is a purpose-built unit. Along with 20 en-suite bedrooms, there are two apartments, a hydrotherapy pool, gym and therapy kitchen. We offer active, short-term (approximately 12 weeks) rehabilitation for adults who have significant physical, speech, functional or cognitive needs that require specialist multi- disciplinary neurorehabilitation. Individuals each have identified rehabilitation goals and are provided with a structured therapy programme to help them relearn and practise functional movements and everyday skills to give them the best chance of a return back home. Residential Unit This service is located in the original manor house and is suitable for those individuals who, as a result of their brain injury, are not able to live at home independently. Whilst they may not have complex nursing care needs or require regular therapy, they do need round the clock support to manage everyday tasks, to keep safe and have a good quality of life. Our multi-disciplinary team regularly review each individual and support their care planning.

Our Care

Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre

Our on-site multi-disciplinary team (MDT) includesnursing, physiotherapy, speech and languagetherapy, occupational therapy, clinical psychologyand rehabilitation assistants. The team is furthersupported by weekly sessional visits from aConsultant in Rehabilitation Medicine.

Our clinical team is further supported by a CentreManager, an activity co-ordinator and a team ofhousekeeping, catering, maintenance andadministration staff.
